  2. The Football World Cup in Ryxtylopia For the first time in the history of this tournament the Football World Cup will happen in a country in Aura: The Ryxtylopian Federation! or just Ryxtylopia for short. Ryxtylopia's Location Ryxtylopia lies in the northern hemisphere of the world, home to around 22 million people, and its a country with both temperate and semi-arid climates, holding the northernmost point of mainland Aura, Ryxtylopia also being a very diverse country, in terms of culture, cuisine, ethnicities and of course sports! Ryxtylopia also has a professional football league which while not renowned at the global stage is a pretty competitive league able to produce lots of talent, and there is a culture around football in Ryxtylopia. Which is why the Rytylopian Football Federation (RFF) as well as the government, and several sponsors is proud to present the third edition of the FWC in this country, aiming to be the best edition so far. General advice and tourist information: When visiting Ryxtylopia there are bits and chunks of information that will be useful for tourists to know, regarding locations, stadiums, and culture around football or just culture in general. First off, when arriving in Ryxtylopia you can expect the weather to be slightly warm, but not hot, parts of the country are Semi-Arid as Ryxtylopia is located right at the end of the Auran desert, but the country in general doesn’t have too extreme temperatures. When it comes to football culture in Ryxtylopia, things that can be expected from fans is extreme dedication, and partying, an atmosphere not shared by a lot of countries, while violence between fans has been observed, considering this is an INTERNATIONAL tournament, you can expect Ryxtylopia fans to unite for once and cheer and sing together, not to mention the flavors fans from different countries might bring to the tournament. Outside of football culture can be vibrant, many neighborhoods in the cities that have venues that could host the tournament will be vibrantly decorated, artwork painted on the sides of buildings and roads, when it comes to food visitors can expect Parviallaidas, large gatherings of people cooking foods in the open, oftenly in the streets using grills, and sharing the food; when it comes to food people may expect: Meat, mainly chicken and beef, many types of grains, greens spread throughout, and of course: beans. In the drinks department there are many options, for those wondering, the legal drinking age in Ryxtylopia is 18, and its not uncommon beer to be served at games, most stadiums allowing it, as well as beer there is an abundance of sodas, water is also an option however its important to know TAP WATER IS NOT SAFE to drink in Ryxtylopia, and might result in diarrhea, therefore its advised to buy bottled water instead, as well as this a popular and traditional local drink present in many parts of the country is the Aquixata, a mix of grans, water and occasionally milk, boiled and then served, these drinks have been part of ryxtylopian meals for centuries and continue to be wildly popular and served. In case of an emergency, whilst throughout the duration of the tournament an in or near the venues there will be supervision, for any emergency outside of these please call the number +2 58 179, this will place the caller in a line were they can report the emergency and call for help. When it comes to interactions with locals, Ryxtylopian for some may be a bit hard to understand as its unrelated with basically all the languages around Ryxtylopia, however for the world cup manuals on local customs and communication techniques will be published and its almost guaranteed that locals will welcome tourists for the event. (Note: please avoid any talk about football teams, specifically Bixas and Priava, unless you want to cause a brawl.) Stuff to know about Ryxtylopia: CULTURE: Ryxtylopian culture is diverse, and to some degree there isn’t much of a concept about it, its more of a definition to describe several different aspects from different cultures both modern and extinct that define modern day Ryxtylopians. SPORTS: When it comes to sports Ryxtylopia (usually) doesn’t disappoint, one of its key advantages being its low median age and high birth rates being a rapidly developing nation, this also leads to a lot of young talent being produced, as well as this considering the poverty level in Ryxtylopia is a bit high, this leads to creativity amongst people that don’t have the necessary resources to prosper, when these people break into the national and international stage they can shine as really good athletes. In Ryxtylopia Football (/Soccer) is THE most popular sport, followed closely by Baseball and in third place Rugby which has seen an increase in popularity in the last 30 years, but focusing on football and more specifically the culture around football Ryxtylopian fans can be some of the most passionate about the sport (ocationally perhaps a bit too much for their own good), Club rivalries go deep, but this creates a unique atmosphere in the sport which will be further enriched by fans from all over the world attending to the World Cup. 4. Military Affairs Ryxtylopia has a super duper arm forces and naby and er-force and all the shebang needed to defend the homeland and all of that. [WIP]
  5. Im usually the one being driven not the one driving, and it doesn't matter if its on a bus or a taxi, at that point finding parking is well... kinda irrelevant. So im going with never hitting traffic, since well i never have the need to find a place to park.
  6. Honestly i think like ive done a lot of improvement at controlling my anger, and just remaining calm for as long as i can, so id probably go with never be envious, tho if there was another option id definetley choose "never be stressed" since that's something i definetley dont handle very well. But like i said previously, in this case im choosing "never be envious" since i already handle my anger pretty well (in my humble opinion).
  7. The "Calm" before the storm. June 29th, 1423 - 10:00 AM - 22 Guindá road, Vachás, Pestalpa. It wasn't long before after pressure from congress the DII replaced Pincalo, the news reached not only him, but the nation almost inmediatley, and while the goverment was trying to save face, many saw this as a good thing as Pincalo was blamed for the incompetence in the investigation by many, apart from this a lot of people doubted his true motives. The news reaches Pincalo while he was at home, packing up, in a cloudy morning, he was called by the head of the S.I.A: Rivaldo Guaintaní, who called him directly to his personal phone. As Pincalo was packing stuff, he sees his phone starting to ring, and so goes out and answers. "Hello?" "Good morning sir, its me Rivaldo Guaintaní, director of the S.I.A speaking." "Oh boy... uh what can i help you with sir." "Well uh first, am i talking with Pincalo Givacha?" "Correct..." "Alright sir, i would like to inform you that the S.I.A has taken the unanamous desicion to replace you as director of the DII, due to your perceived inability to handle the department and its resources and staff." Pincalo sighs before responding. "...Well, and is there anything else?" "Your pay will be forfitted, if you have any disagreements with the desicion, please let us know." "..." Pincalo would hang up, he didn't want to disagree with the desicion, but not disagreeing would imply that he knew this was comming... Then he mutes his phone and goes back to packing. June 29th, 1423 - 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM - 10:00 PM , All over the country. Meanwhile protests didn't seem to calm down at the news of Pincalo's removal as head of the DII, as in Pestalpa, the CPW, and RUAL didn't call of the strikes, while protesting spread to the rest of the country, mainly the south, and in mountainous areas, protests going from Carraizal, to Tirilpa. In Mynás tensions between the goverment and the FLC flared up once again, and many other paramilitary groups including the Frenté Populair di Tirilpa (the Tirilpan Popular Front) FPT, and the Unión Soxialita di Ryxtylopia (Ryxtylopian Socialist Union) USR flared up in Tirilpa and Cantríxa. Opposition groups, mainly left wing, heavily critized the goverment and continued calling for protests. In some areas protests intensified, mainly in Pestalpa, and especially in Pinilaca, where police had to erect barricades around the DII office to prevent it from possibly being stormed by rioters, as attempts to get closer to the office had happened, the DII office there was closed until further notice, as authorities continued trying to manage the crowds of protesters and rioters. The situation had turned into a very delicate one, and all it would probably take for it to boil over was probably just more clear info on the only question left in the mind of the protesters... who?
  8. Uncertainty June 28th, 1423 - 9:30 AM - 10:00 PM , Ryxenia, Pinilaca, Vynitina, Tsalapaní, Tilipaca, Parta'ana, etc... Ever since the leak of the "Pinilaca" papers, the whole country had errupted into chaos, the peaceful protests that had marked the start of the scandal had been replaced with violent confrontations between the police and protesters in several major cities and other towns, mainly in the centre of the country, and Pestalpa. The police was starting to become overstretched, and the protesters blocked several roads and protested outside goverment buildings, while arrests for rioting, assault and arson went up by up to 15% during the first days of the violent protests all over Ryxtylopia. Pestalpa had probably been hit the worst by the riots and protests in late May, things didn't help when the Confederation of Pestalpan Workers (CPW), and the Ryxtylopian Union for Architects and Laborers (RUAL), two seperate worker's unions in the country, called for a strike of workers that had taken part in the '22 program, until the goverment revealed more details about the situation, and did something about the heavy embezzlement of funds from the '22 program into other "areas". Pressure had also been put on the president, as it was clear the DII was incredibly corrupt, and were blamed more for this than Pincalo, who's position as head of the department had become uncertain since the scandal had begun. Unfortunatley for him, with the president of the nation now being called on to do something about it, his position was now at risk. That fear wasn't invalid, as the speed at which the whole scandal developed seemed to rapidly developed as the president, needing to do something, proposed the removal of Pincalo as head of the DII, and put the proposal forward in congress. The way the DII was run usually avoided congress, as that would involve the DII into politics, and corruption is an issue best solved without the involvement of political figures, since it was a Department of the Secretary of Internal Affairs (SIA) the SIA would usually decide who would become the next head of the DII, but this process had always been mixed up, and the DII had been plagued by the corruption it seeked to eliminate. But with the president now fearing his position was at stake, after consulting congress he ordered the SIA to find a replacement for Pincalo, and to rush it, the SIA was very divided in this issue, as while most agreed that Pincalo needed to be replaced now, the question was with whom, who to trust in the deparment that wasn't involved in the Scandal, the debate was on either promoting Andreís (the current sub-director of the DII) or on appointing a new one. While this debate went on in the SIA word was getting out about the intervention by the president in the DII, and word quickly reached Pincalo. June 28th, 1423 - 11:00 AM - 22 Guindá road, Vachás, Pestalpa. Pincalo was at his home in Vachás a small sea-side town near Pinilaca, "working" from home, as the situation in both Pinilaca and Ryxenia had devolved too much for him to be secure while travelling in either city, before he got a call from Andreís. "Hello?" Pincalo Answers. "Congress is looking to remove you as director of the DII." "What?" "Yes, i told you this would happen, did you listen to me? No." "But why?!" "They are throwing you under the bus to save their reputation, or at least what's left of it." "We must go to Ryxenia and convience them otherwise!" Said Pincalo, he knew that if he was removed as DII director he would no longer have any influence in well the situation he had partially started. Unfortunatley for Pincalo, Andreís had enough. "No, im not doing that..." "What?!" "Im going to resign from the DII, this is too much." "ANDREÍS! YOU CAN'T YOU WILL BE THROWN IN JAIL IF YOU DO!" It was clear Pincalo was starting to get desperate. "Look, i can't handle this anymore, this situation has exploded, its too late to fix it, you started it and i don't want anymore with your problems now." "YOU PIECE OF ____ WE NEED TO ACT NOW!" "No, this is YOUR problem now, im going to resign, im at my limit." After this, Andreís would hang up, and then blocks Pincalo from his contacts. This brought Pincalo to reality, there was no going back, and his allies in both politics and the DII had sold him out, now the only thing left to do to avoid what would sureley be a lenghty stay behind bars was to flee the country. He quickly started packing, as bearly an hour later the news of Andreís resigning from the DII got out. Funnily enough as Pincalo packed, he couldn't have known he was the only one with the idea, as Farryvás probably the second most influential man behind the scandal had the same idea in mind, and he was several steps ahead from Pincalo, discretley having sold a lot of his possetions weeks earlier. With the whole country in chaos, the question for most ordinary people was; Where and when would the people responsable for the scandal, for "stealing" their tax Ryxes be held accountable?
  9. Chaos Unfolds June 25th, 1423 - 5:30 AM - The DII office in Pinilaca, Pestalpa. Pincalo hadn't gotten much sleep, as he had been driven from Ryxenia to Pinilaca in about an hour, more specifically to the DII office were he had spent so much time in the past, it was still closed, but knowing the guards he was able to get in early in the morning, instead of heading to the office spaces like he would usually do, he quickly went to the the files storage, then the archive, hurridly grabbing papers from both, since the DII office in pestalpa was an old building he knew security cameras hadn't been installed in the building yet, so after he got what he wanted, he went back to his car and took off, taking his time to call Andreís. After grabbing his phone and starting the call, Andreís would pick up. "Hello?" "Andreís, did you tell everybody?" "For the most part, Vachas didn't answer, i called him 3 times!" Says Andreís in a higher tone. "I think he was busy doing stuff in the police dept. we'll call him later" "Alright, and what is the plan now?" "To be honest, i don't know, hopefully i can meet you somewhere in Tsala'ipá if you would be nice enough to start driving." "Alright, if you say so. Should i bring anything?" "No, just go there, quickly, i should arrive in a few hours." "Alright, hope you come up with something, when i woke up Farryvás he started screaming at me, while the others are very worried, Darrias said he knew this would happen." "Look, right now i just need you to hurry, ill hang up, alright?" "Okay, see you there then." "Bye." Pincalo hangs up and continues on his way to the meeting point. June 25th, 1423 - 7:45 AM - St. Huipa road, Tsala'ipá, Pestalpa. Pincalo had just arrived in Tsala'ipá, after getting stuck in a muddy road while exiting Maiiztá for aobut 6 minutes, where after agreeing on a spot, in the suburban part of the city, Pincalo met with Andreís to discuss what to do, as well as this he brought the papers he had taken from the DII office in Pinilaca, for him the plan so far was very clear: get rid of the papers to mitigate the damage done if they were caught. But Andreís wasn't keen on the idea, as if they were caught that could make the situation possibly worse, beacause, while he was loyal to Pincalo, Andreís heavily considered the possibility of selling everybody else out, in return for a shorter time behind bars if they were caught, it didn't help that he had many times disagreed with Farryvás and didn't particularly trust him. After they both got toogheter, soon started discussing on what to do. "So what should we do now?" "Get rid of theese..." Pincalo pulls out the documents he had gotten from the DII in Pinilaca "Are you sure its a good idea?" "Its necessary, we cannot let anyone else find them and cause us further headaches." "Can't we just hide them, it seems like a better solution to me than outright destroying them, they could prove useful if we get caught." "No we must get rid of them." "Come on Pincalo, do you really think Farryvás wont sell us out once he has the chance?" "He won't, now get to shreading!" With a sigh, Andreís helps shreds the paper near a dry bush, after the two finished, they left, Pincalo back to Pinilaca, and Andreís back to Ryxenia. They both probably knew, public anger would soon errupt later in the day and in the following days of the month.
  10. The Facade Collapses June 24th, 1423 - 9:30 PM - The DII office in Pinilaca, Pestalpa. It had been more than a month since the case had flared back up again, and with the investigation seemingly having stalled, clearly at the point of going nowhere and most ryxtylopians starting to accept the fact they wouldn't be able to take retribution for those responsible for stealing their tax money, for those on the top it seemed like the whole situation was at an end. The situation on the streets had calmed down, while it had taken a while, most police officers didn't question the authority of the police department, and the protesters lost motivation after 2-3 weeks. But, while the police had remained united, the DII was tearing itself apart as many had already been skeptical of Pincalo for some time after he had gotten the appointment as director of the department, and his rivals in the DII, people who would've liked to see the position go to themselves continued searching for files, out of theese the most important was probably Julio Xivas, another relativley high ranked member of the DII who expected to be elevated to director status, as he had more experience than Pincalo, but soon enough found himself in an obscure part of the department in Saxa'atí, seemingly cast away from power. He had been relentlessly trying to get back to manage affairs in his original post in his home state of Cantríxa but found himself with little success, so he tried gathering support from the people in other parts of the DII to look further into Pincalos actions, originally in an attempt to discredit him, but soon enough to keep track of his suspect acts. In the end the divide in the DII is what would doom Pincalo, as soon, ignoring the central authority in Ryxenia, some of the employees in the Pestalpan DII found incriminating documents, listing a "Possible redirecting of funds" from the '22 program to another department, this wasn't the only inconsistency found as several other documents listing the "Redirecting of funds" from departments and offices were found, in total 10 billion Ryxes (over 900 million dollars for reference) with more possibly having been "redirected" Soon enough theese documents were photographed and copied, soon sent to Julio, whom having discovered a gold mine of material to use against his opponents, determined to see Pincalo fall, headed to the press and published the documents. It wouldn't only be a matter of time before the people were fully notified but as the headlines went out, but Pincalo soon found out. June 24th, 1423 - 9:55 PM - Head Office of the Department of Internal Investigation, Ryxenia. Pincalo was about to leave the DII office in Pestalpa, when he soon got a message from one of his piers informing him about any developments, it read: Pincalo, we got a severe situation in our hands, several documents where published by the Libres' and uhh, its not good. After he was sent a link, Pincalo was horrified at what he saw, documents he thought wouldn't be found, he had already been challanged by lower ranking members of the DII but didn't expect something like this to happen, soon something short of panic set in, as he inmediatley called his "loyal" companion most trusted ally in the DII: Andreís. "Come on... answer, ANSWER! YOU IDIOT! ANSWER!" After a few seconds of screaming at the phone Andreís would answer. "Hello? Im busy eating dinner right no-" "ANDREÍS! Thank god, we got a SEVERE SITUATION, i need you to inform everybody else, we'll get sleep and hopefully come up with a plan by dawn, QUICKLY!" "What happened?" "Some of the Pestalpan DII documents got lea- you know what, just hurry up!" "What? What?!" Replied Pincalo, very confused. "Ill just send you the link to the article, you must inform everybody else RIGHT NOW, understood?!" "Y-Yes i guess, ill do it right after this call..." "Good, hope to see you soon, we'll need to talk..." Said Pincalo in a calmer tone before hanging up and then grabbing his hair, still visibly stressed. "God... what will i do now..."
  11. Honestly im tempted to go and have long periods of wait in return for the big vacation, since for me at least the weekends are pretty decent to have rest, i have to admit; they aren't perfect and many times you're still left exhausted. For me as a student the weekends can also be affected by the ammount of homework i get assigned during the weekend since some professors don't understand that Saturday and Sunday are meant to be sacred- err i mean; days of rest. But the payoff at the end of the wait is really tempting, 3 months to do whatever you can do, but that's just me. Do have to admit the shorter but more frecuent vacations are also pretty tempting, its practically a longer weekend and its evenly pread out along the year so that's a bonus, but i do enjoy my long vacations after days and weeks of school.
  12. I think something that drives me away from the being reborn in the future option is that: we don't know what it will bring, the chances are to be born into a better enviroment or a considerably worse one. While a lot of both good and bad things have happened in the past that we already know of. This also depends if; you're able to choose how far into the future/past you would be reborn, to get rid of that element of uncertanty you could play it safe and do not soo far into the future or not soo uh past into the past (if that made sense). If the time you're sent forward or backwards was random i think id much rather just not be reborn into either.
  13. Id say i live in a "big city" currently, and honestly, yes traffic is annoying, yes there's a lot of noise, and yes there are many issues but i think at least in my area big cities are better than towns/small cities, while a change of pace could be nice, i just think there's more opportunities n' such in the bigger cities than in the smaller ones.
  14. Prelude February 14th, 1423 - 8:50 AM - The office of Partalí News, Ryxenia. It was a calm day for the employees of Partalí in Ryxenia, they had just finished the morning radio broadcast, and they prepared to go home, when suddenly the phone at the reception starts ringing. The receptionist answers; "Hello? You've called the office of Partalí News, how may i help you?" The voice comming over the phone sounded serious, like if he was in a hurry; "Listen here, i don't think you will be able to comprehend the magnitude of the situation at play... its something this country has never seen before" The receptionist, confused, asks; "Uh sir, mind letting me know who this call is from first...?" The response was unexpected; "Im Ryxas Fanil, secretary of the sub-director of the Department of Internal Investigation. This is really important, i need you to difuse the knews right now, the people need to know!" The receptionist, still confused, asked, "Wait, what news? Sir, we already finished the morning radio broadcast a few minutes ago." "No, no, you don't get the magnitude of this, this might be the biggest scandal in modern ryxtylopian history, 9 billion ryxes in public funds have gone into private pockets, if not more." Mentions Ryxas with a serious tone. The receptionist stays quiet for a second before telling Ryxas; "Hold on give me a second ill call my boss..." As he grabs his phone to call his boss, who was congratulating the broadcasters after a solid day. After a bit the director of Partalí goes downstairs after the call from the receptionist... February 15th, 1423 - 9:00AM - All of the country. The morning Partalí broadcast had just passed, and thousands, if not millions were shocked; a tsunami of leaked documents had surfaced from the Department of Internal Investigation, a Sub-Department of the Secretary of Internal Affairs dedicated primarily to fighting corruption. According to the leaks from an "anonymous source" about 9 billion ryxes (about 850 million dollars for reference) in public funds from different goverment departments and the treasury had been stolen by politicians over a span of just 6-8 months. The fact that DII hadn't revealed that information to the public earlier, and had kept it secret caused an outrage amongst the public and parties opposed to the current goverment. February 15th, 1423 - 9:15AM - Head Office of the Department of Internal Investigation, Ryxenia. A man rushes into the office of the director of the DII, it was the sub-director of the department: Andreís di Arrvaínga, he barged into the office of his boss, clearly tired of taking the long flight of stairs in a rush. The Director of the DII: Pincalo Givacha looked at him confused, as he asked; "Andreís, what happened?" Andreís, catching his breath answered; "Sir... Sir... its been leaked, Partalí leaked the papers this morning..." Pincalo, confused, stood up and firmly asked; "What papers?" "The Farryvás papers sir... I have no idea who spilled the Aqui'xel but someone did and, unfortunatley for us, Partalí got their hands on it" Responded Andreís. Pincalo, stood silent, before quickly hurrying to a filing cabinet in the corner of his office, and saying; "Quickly, search for the documents, and i want you to take them FAR AWAY from this department, ill call Farryvás, time is of the essence, we still have time to conduct damage control before the public goes nuts." "Yes sir!" Andreís leaves the office, rushing for the archives. As he took in the situation, Pincalo called his wife, without saying hello, he told her; "Listen here, there's no time, SELL THE HOUSE, get our passports and documents in order, ill find a hotel to stay at after you sell the house, there's no time to explain, but you must hurry" He hang up, then called the governor of Pestalpa: Farryvás Vizchaca. "Hello?" Quickly Pincalo said; "They've been leaked, you need to get ready for a storm..." He then proceded to explain the situation. February 16th, 1423 - 11:00AM - The DII office in Pinilaca, Pestalpa. A crowd gathered outside of the DII office, it was about 60-70 strong, and they weren't happy, they were holding signs and angrily blocking entrance to the office, after a bit the crowd started to grow, first to 100, then 200 people, by mid-day it was about 350 strong, they had the office staff sieged not letting anyone in or out until further information was released. "Pincalo became head of the DII, just about a year ago! What has he been doing in this time?!" Uttered a protester, pointing out that most of the high-ranking staff in the DII had only been working for a bit over a year. Unfortunatley for the protesters by 12:40, police had arrived, in riot gear, they ordered the protesters to disperse and leave the entrance of the DII office, at this point more protesters joined, while the less commited ones complied with the police orders. Still about 300 protesters remained, and stood in a line paralel of the police line, that started advancing towards them, armored police cars showed up and started spraying the protesters with water cannons in front of the news cameras. February 17th, 1423 - 8:00AM - Head Office of the Department of Internal Investigation, Ryxenia. Andreís walks into his bosse's office, Pincalo was storing some papers, as he asked; "And so, what did Farryvás say?" Pincalo sighs and responds; "He is trying to hide the evidence in the Pestalpan DII, and informing others we got involved in this mess, i still have no idea who could've leaked the papers, the police already hosed down protesters in Pinilaca, more protest will sureley follow, the president has also been informed, but his involvement in this hasn't been uncovered yet, we didn't involve the vice president and he while aware of the scandal is still trying to figure out who was involved in it, luckly i got assurances from the president he'll do anything in his power to buy us time to cover up, or he'll try to get us reduced punishments, but ill probably have to flee the country, you should prepare to do the same if the worst comes to be." Andreís stays silent before saying; "We need to make sure anyone involved in this does everything in their power to conceal documents, burning them would be too suspicious so we need to make sure the files get "lost in all of the bureucracy we have in place" to not attract unwanted attention" "Good, if you can pass the word to others involved in this, we've yet to contact Gilvaxa, Ralao, and Panvés, and many others." Andreís responded; "I will, once i get all the papers sorted." February 17th, 1423 - 1:00PM - National Archive, Ryxenia. The chief of Internal Security, Vachas Gilchabó, the person responsable for managing the police department, was going through files in the National Archive, searching, soon enough the president shows up, along with Pablo Fryvás; the head of the department of infrastructure. "Any luck yet?" Asked Pablo. "Im still looking, i found some of the papers, we will need a place to cover up, my boys have already sprayed protesters in Pinilaca" Responds Vachas. "You must hurry, if you don't our involvements on this situation might be uncovered" Says the president; Edyuardó Etsañó. "I am aware mister president, the archive is really big, here we also have some stuff from the previous administrations" "Alright, call us once you're done, ill keep in contact with Pincalo, ill tell him once you're done, you will meet whenever you can, he will deliver the files he found at the DII" Responds the president, before him and Pablo leave the room. While walking down the hallway the president tells Pablo; "If they don't hurry we may have to ditch them, our reputation is at stake. If the press ask or anyone accuses you, just say we were never a part of this, that they were trying to shift blame towards us" "Alright mister president" Responds Pablo as they walk for the elevator. February 18th, 1423 - 10:40PM - The DII office in Pinilaca, Pestalpa. The Governor of the state of Pestalpa, Farryvás Calba had just arrived at the office of the DII in Pinilaca, waiting for him there was Andreís di Arrvaínga as Pincalo hadn't been able to go, they greeted eachother in a corridor behind the reception. "Hello mister governor, the situation has became quite severe, both you and Pincalo have been implicated in it and investigators are already working on the case" Farryvás responded; "I am aware of that, we need to make a public statement its been 4 days, we may still be able to calm the public but neither i nor Pincalo should make the statement" "Agreed, but i don't think im an alternative since im too close to Pincalo, but i think my secretary, Ryxas Fanil should be able to do the job, since while he's linked to me, but he isn't linked to Pincalo or you, i won't give our scheme away but ill persuade him to tell everybody this whole thing has been blown over, and it might just be a small "happens all the time" scandal." Farryvás thought about him before agreeing to the plan; "Alright, you must tell him to do everything in his power to calm the public, ill arrange for a live broadcast with a news station that is more lenient to us tomorrow." February 19th, 1423 - 9:00AM - Espaci'ia Libre News, Tilipaca, Cantríxa. "Everybody ready, cuz' we're about to go live!" Asked the director of EPL News, as he they prepared to interview Ryxas about the current scandal. Ryxas adjusted his tie, he had been told to downplay the situation as much as possible, as the interview started. "Morning Ladies n' Gentlemen, thanks in advance for watching Espaci'ia Libre News! Im your host for today Hivata Quibalá and today we sure got a special guest... Ryxas Fanil! He volunteered to explain the current scandal going on in the DII for us, so Ryxas, how are you today?" Ryxas Inhaled before saying; "Im good, many thanks, so what would you like to hear from me?" "First of all, is all of this true? Have 9+ billion ryxes really been embezzeled and stolen?" Ryxas stays silent, he knew the truth but had been instructed to hide it, so he decided to be as vague as possible with his answers as he answered; "Maybe, 9 billion might be a bit inflated but then again i don't have enough info to confirm or discard that ammount." "Alright, do you know or have an idea of anyone that could've been involved in the scandal?" Again after a second of wait Ryxas responds; "According to the leaks, Farryvás, governor of Pestalpa and Pincalo, head of the DII have been involved, but im not sure about this, like i said theese leaks could be overblowing the situation, but this doesn't exclude theese figures from suspicion" "Alright, finally before i move into less important stuff, how long do you think this has been going for?" Ryxas responded; "Im not exactly sure, but it has been going for probably more than 4 months, why this wasn't found out earlier im not sure, maybe our system is too inefficient, but i don't really know what would be worse, that more money has been embezzeled in such a short time or that it has been hidden from the public for a longer period of time" This interview instead of resolving the issue and calming down the public would have the opposite effect, just as Ryxas intended, soon this scandal would blow over even more.
  15. Eh, for me it was easy to go for option one; sure ill be honest id miss a lot of flavored beverages (especially soft drinks even if i don't consume them that often) but water never fails in keeping you hydrated, it always refreshes you on a hot day, it most of the time satiates the thrist and yes; not having any beverages that help you keep awake might become a bit of an annoyance, but water is water and it fills its function (hydrating the body) perfectly. I also noticed, the type of salad wasn't specified, but my favorite foods are, well... not any kind of salad i can think of. And, if i were to assume a specific kind of salad was specified in the question, i don't think there could be a salad that provides all the nutrients we human beings need to consume to stay alive, or at least not in the quantities we need, im no health expert but keeping a varied diet is probably a good thing to do. So, im definetley going with option 1.

  17. Politics Ryxtylopian politics are like in the case of most countries, complex, and hinge mainly on the factor of government intervention on internal and external affairs, how centralized and decentralized the nation should be, and this is how it has been for most of Ryxtylopia’s history. There are many political parties in Ryxtylopia, and politics regularly swing between all of them, so in this section, we’ll discuss the biggest and most important political parties in Ryxtylopia, and the coalitions/groups they form with eachother. *May Vary Partido Inituxional di Ryxtylopia Ryxtylopian Institutional Party P.I.R Position: Broad Center Centralization: Intermediate Economy Economic and Ryxtylopia mainly abstains from conflicts or disputes between other nations outside of its immediate neighborhood. In economic and military affairs however, Ryxtylopia’s approach with other nations has drastically changed in recent years, the government seeking greater economic cooperation, and starting to seek military cooperation with friendly nations, this being best seen with Ryxtylopia allowing for the first time foreigners to establish military bases within its territory. 19. FEDYRAXXIÓN DI FUITBOL DI RYXTYLOPIA RYXTYLOPIAN FOOTBALL FEDERATION As the intense match against Cambria ended and the team went back to the hotel, fans met them all along the way cheering and clapping, though the match had been lost the RFF had put up a good fight, you could say a miracle happened with the two goals that equalized the match: one by A. Fydó in the 50th minute and the other one by F. Mataña in the 76th minute. As everybody got back to the hotel, and prepared to go to their rooms to get some rest, the coach: Avynas Na'latí told them to gather in the lobby as he got out a list, a list him and the previous coach: Eraxtá Ralaó had been compiling since the start of the tournament, from the match against Arifiyyah to this minor loss against Cambria. Na'latí struck a conversation with the players: "Boys, we've reached the end of the road, but you did good, i have to say for this match you surpassed the expectations I, the press, and the nation had, you all did good, and yes there were many hiccups along the way, but at the end the team surpassed most expectations." As Na'latí checked his list he said: "Of course some of you did better than others and a few even underperformed, but as a team you did good, good coordination and a sturdy defense took us to the Round of 16." And so Na'lati showed the list to the players, it was a list in order of who had performed better to worse: N. FARRIS A Center-Midfielder for the team originally expected to be "Just another brick in a wall" Nalpá Farris, exceded all expectations, proving to be a player with both the capacity to coordinate and act on his own, of coure he was better with the team, but he proved essential in the defense, being able to close the distance to opponents to snatch the ball and pass it to the strikers, he proved to be the model team player for this match being able to adapt to the situation surrounding him and his collegues. Expectations Surpassed A. FYDÓ The workhorse for the team, he provided the team with most of the goals in the early matches and proved consistant all throught, of course with a few hiccups along the way, the captain of the team also proved that when the stars allign he could perform well enough without help from his collegues and secure goals to if not win the match, at least make that negative difference a lil' less negative after all. Expectations Surpassed E. VILAÑA A Center Back defense, like N. Farris, Enrico Vilaña proved to be a well-rounded defense, and proved reliable when supported, he was able to keep the ball away from the Goal several times, and he is quickly to react to any changes that devolve around him. Expectations Surpassed F. MATAÑA Another striker, while he started on the bench missing the first few games Fylas Mataña was able to score goals in the next few games thanks to the help of his team, when he's alone he does struggle, but when he is properly supported he can take the fight to the other side of the pitch. Expectations Met Z. FANIL Zacacho Fanil is a really good team player, probably has the best coordination in the team, but he has a nasty habit of sometimes overextending and that leads him to sometimes find himself surounded and unable to act, still when he's supported he can conduct himself in a good manner keeping the right flank safe n' secure from any attempts to go down by that flank. Expectations Met A. PIFA'ATÁ Avalicha Pifa'atá is a decent players by all means not bad but also not very good in terms of mobility, he is aware he lacks in those areas and will act in accordance with how the team plays out, but when surrounded he will concede the ball, he also proves to be a bit nervous at times and ocasionally passing prematurley or too late, but him being almost always aware of his situation makes him a decent player. Expectations Met X. PATOCHÁ Xavicha Patochá is another decent player, and similar to Pifa'ata but unlike him he is one of our most agile players, and this makes him a bit overconfident at times, and he's also a bit of selfish, not passing the ball at opportune times, instead of his brains making up for his mobility like Pifa'ata, his mobility makes up for his brains, decent player. Expectations Met A. YACHUCHO Another player who started in the bench, Achacá Yachucho is a Center Mid-fielder, he often finds himself replacing either Pifa'ata or Farris whenever they get tired or underperform, he's probably the most avarage player in the team, he's timid but not indesicive, and will work with the team just fine, however he has to work on his passes since sometimes he passes the ball to the wrong player. Expectations Met H. TICHACHO The striker opposite of Fydó, Halviná Tichacho is an ok player, he scored a few goals but he lacks agility, a lot of the time running predictably in a straight or curved line at his opponents, what saves him is his willingness to be cooperative with Fydó and having good coordination with him. Expectations Met H. MATAÑA Hervaya Mataña has had a rough one recently, when he thought his carrer was on the rise in his own club he overconfidently slid over and tackled an opposing player severly injuring him and earning him a red card, that lost his team the essential match, this never left him and he is extremly cautious, when he doesn't know what to do he might find himself passing the ball to someone who doesn't expect it and he lacks coordination. Underperformed A. RINACO Andryas Rinaco is the goalkeep of the team, he is also one of the older members and his career is probably nearing its end, he conceded several goals during the WC, that made Ryxtylopia one of the nations in the WC with the most goals received, but we can't blame it all on him, he's decent but he relies heavily too much on the team to make opponents come in a predictable approach towards him, when they fail he fails. Underperformed A. FARRIS Altachama Farris is another player who needs to smooth out his roughest edges, he's too careless at times, and lacks the coordination any teamate needs to be good, unfortunatley for the RFF both of the defenders on the left flank underperformed and most goals came through that direction, Farris needs to work out harder in his critical thinking skills if he wants to stay onboard the team. Underperformed A. NE'ETO Alvinás Ne'eto got the worse ranking in this list for being too cautious, he sticks to other players and that proves disastrous when the enemy is comming his way, despite being on the left he passes a lot of time in the center, and it doesn't help that when he retreats the wrong way, the man behind him in the last line of defense is A. Farris, both of them haven't done a good job at keeping the left secure, but him being way too overcautious earns him the worst spot in this list. Severly Undeperformed (Other players did not have enough time in the pitch to confirm if they did well or not) And as Na'latí showed the list there were mixed emotions, most of the team was content maybe not for themselves but for everybody and their good coordinaton, some where dissapointed with themselves, and others selfishley backed away from the list in denial, but as the boys packed up for the last stay in this land far away from home one last cheer for the team could be heard in the lobby of the hotel, since they the public and the world was impressed at such a great debut for the RFF.
  20. Culture Ryxtylopian Culture was shaped by the cultures that came before mainly the: Tslaaní, Yilanian and Pestalpan cultures, since they were the primary cultures in the populated regions of Ryxtylopia, a lot of cultural development happened after the fall of the Guiltavacha dictatorship in Ryxtylopia in 1389, during the dictatorship period, cultural displays were supressed by the goverment as they were seen as "uncivilized" and the goverment tried to make a new image of Ryxtylopian culture. With the end of the Guiltavacha dictatorship in 1389, Ryxtylopian culture continued its evolution to adapt to the modern world, and this evolution continues to this day, with the younger people transforming the traditions and the Ryxtylopian identity as a whole. Clothing Traditional Ryxtylopian clothing is varied, and can ddepend on the region, with a divide between east and west, and the north islands of Tirilpa and Pinichaca also having their own traditional clothing being separated from the mainland. But men mostly wear a light short-sleeved shirt called a Hipilca, they can be different colors but most are white or khaki, some Hipilcas can have stripes with different patterns ranging from flowers to complex drawings, and recently long-sleeves version of this shirt have become popular, despite this basically all Hipilcas are made by hand, and the goverment has protected theese small producers despite several scandals with large scale manufacturers. For pants again the clothing is mostly light, ocasionally shorts are used, and there theese pants can continue the lines with patterns on them, they're mainly khaki, if not black, unlike the shirts theese can be just normal pants you get from the store but the ones that continue the patterns seen in the shirts are locally made. And finally hats, men wear medium to long brim hats called Sonquibas, theese can vary in size and are usually made of straw, but more expensive ones are made from different materials, common colors are once again khaki, white and black and hats usually don't have patterns on them, if they do they're usually pretty small and not very noticable. Seen above, examples of Hipilcas, with different patterns, theese patterns vary depending on the region. Seen below, an example of a Sonquiba, they can be quite varied in terms of material used to make them. Traditional clothing for women usually consists of similarly to men a short sleeved shirt called a Guitivyá (or it can be without sleeves entireley) with patterns depicting nature, culture, and other stuff also present, theese usually being all over the shirt, the background of theese shirts can be different colors, mainly white, khaki and black, but the patterns can go wild with the colors since they're meant to stand out. Then you have long skirts called Guitavayás, again continuing the patterns seen in the shirts, theese do weigh a bit, and they are held to the shirts by leather belts, but poorer people can use strings or ropes to hold it toogheter, the skirts are produced locally, since mass producers have a hard time adapting to the local market and copying patterns. Women also have the option of wearing a dress theese dresses are called Giutachá'atas, that basically is a combination of the shirt and the skirt, but with more complex patterns, cheaper dresses can take weeks to make and more expensive ones months, so dresses are usually more expensive than the Guitivyás and Guitivayás combined, so they're mostly used in special ocasions (parties and festivals). Seen above, examples of Guitivyás, the patterns can be in different spots or all over the shirts. Seen below, Guitavayás, they can have or not have patterns, those that don't usually have more vibrant colors to make them stand out. Food There's a lot of variety in food, different regions having different sorts of food. But a staple throught most of Ryxtylopia is basically any type of seafood, being basically a peninsula in the northernmost point of mainland Aura, the people in Ryxtylopia have always relied a lot on fishing and this can be seen in the variety of dishes that have some sort of fish-meat in them usually fried or boiled, they're also usually accompanied by grains like rice, corn and other grains and many types of sauces. Some examples of Ryxtylopian food in the coast, on both you can see its accompanied by some sort of grain. Toscadas are also quite popular (basically hardened tortillas) they're easy to make, and they taste good with any sauce or food, in Ryxtylopia a popular sauce is Hibachaca Sauce, its a sauce made from tomatoes, peppers, onions and other ingredients for seasoning, its spicy but not too spicy and many people like it that way. On the left, Hibachaca Sauce, and on the right a plate with Toscadas, theese can be accompanied by almost any flavor imaginable. In the center of the country the food changes, as its more mountainous and further away from the coast the people there rely more on animals, goat meat is very popular, and its cooked in many varieties, fried, deep fried, or "smoked" (basically instead of having it a flame or hot surface cook it, its cooked with smoke from coal or wood). In the drinks department, drinks called "Aqui'xel(s)" are widley consumed, basically mixes of water, sometimes milk, and different mixes of grains, theese drinks have been consumed for centuries in this region, despite this Ryxtylopians love soda, with local soda brands "Rifrescantí" and "Chapas" being very popular, while foreign brands still hold a considerable ammount of the soda market. In Pinichaca coffee is produced and "Pinichacan coffee" is very popular there, and still consumed throught a lot of the country, Pinichacan coffee is charactarized by being very sweet, but it losses its distinct taste when cold so its better to drink it while its hot, and therefore its consumed in small ammounts at a time, with Ryxtylopian coffee mugs being smaller than the avarge just for this reason. On the left, an example of Aqui'xel drinks, as said before they are mixes of different grains along with water or milk, on the right Pinichacan Coffee. To finalize, the national dish of Ryxtylopia is a relativley spicey shrimp soup called "Cameron al Caxijarro" its most consumed in costal areas, and its kinda popular with tourists, its usually accompanied with grains (most of the time rice) or potatoes and other vegetables. "Cameron al Caxijarro" Ryxtylopia's National Dish Bean Probably the most important aspect in Ryxtylopian cuisine is the bean, beans have always been a good dish in Ryxtylopia, and consumed widley in many different forms since the earlist periods of Ryxtylopian history, they've been eaten in several ways, beans are a good dish to accompany other foods, they can be made into soup, they are easily transportable and stored, and they've throught the years been combined into other foods and dishes, meaning that Ryxtylopian chefs throught the centuries have learned to master the art of the bean. Music Music in Ryxtylopia varies depending on the region, but something that most regions have in common when it comes to making music is one instrument: the guitar. For centuries ever since the guitar was introduced to Ryxtylopia it became a really popular instrument, and many musical genres revolved around it. You can go anywhere in Ryxtylopia and doesn't matter the climate, mood or whatever it is you can probably find someone playing the guitar, but of course what also sets the regions apart is the pace, tone and instruments played alongside the guitar. For example in the west, states of Saxa'atí, Yilanit, Elaaní and Carraizal the guitar is played mostly alone, despite this a popular instrument to complement it is the acordeon, its also played with a faster pace. In the center and east the guitar usually finds itself complemented either by wind instruments (mostly the trumpet, trombone, the tuba and the clarinet) or percussion instruments (mainly drums and the marimba) In Pinichaca and Tirilpa, percussion instruments are also quite popular, but compared to the center of the country the pace of music is faster and on ocassions the guitar is complemented by a harp or sometimes just replaced by it. Example of Pinichacan/Tirilpan Music (note the use of the harp alongside the guitar) Displays of music in Ryxtylopia vary, most take place at parties and special ocations and they aren't usually over the top concerts, while another many take place in the streets, parks or public areas either as entretainment or to ask for money theese happen since traditional music has remained popular in Ryxtylopia, although other genres have been growing in popularity. Festivities Ryxtylopia has many holidays, and festivities. Each Region having their own festivities, ill focus on the more popular ones, the ones but even more on what they consist of and what they are celebrating. It will be a list in order from January to December (i do plan to add more) [WIP] Sports In Ryxtylopia, the most popular sport is football or soccer (or Fiutbol) whatever you wanna call it, Ryxtylopia has 3 professional leagues ("Liga A - Natxianal", "Liga B - Natxianal" and "Liga C - Natxianal" ) with several football teams to choose from, but even at a non-professional level football is by far the most popular sport in Ryxtylopia, its not uncommon to see empty plots or fields used for football, stadiums ranging in size and age, the first division (LigaA - N.) lasts from January 8th to April 16th, it has 22 teams with the two bottom-finishing teams being relegated, the second division (Liga B - N.) goes from August to November, it has 20 teams , with the 2 top finishing teams ascending to the first division, whilst the bottom 4 finishing teams descend to the "C". On the other hand there are two other main sports that are popular in Ryxtylopia, Rugby and Baseball (or Basibol), starting with Baseball currently second in terms of popularity but not by much, it became popular in Ryxtylopia during the 1330's, and Ryxtylopia currently has a professional baseball league (Basi-A) with several teams mostly from the west and Tirilpa participating, as well as a 2nd smaller league (Basi-B) for smaller clubs or clubs that fail to live up to the standards of the main league, the first division of ryxtylopian baseball takes place from May to August with 18 teams, the 3 worst getting relegated, the second division takes place from August to November, with the 3 best teams ascending to the first division and the bottom 5 descending to the "C". And finally a sport that in Ryxtylopia recently exploded in popularity: Rugby, in this part of Aura definitley the newest out of the 3 main sports being introduced to Ryxtylopia during the Giltavas dictatorship around the mid 80's, it was introduced by foreigners but the sports started gaining attention around the 1400's and the first (and so far only) Rugby league formed oficially in 1401, RYXRugby has since its formation suffered from being not very cometitive, with Chacas and Trinchanancó RC dominating the league, but the league has a lot of potential in their players, and Rugby in Ryxtylopia is on the rise after the succesful debut in RWC4, the Ryxtylopian rugby league only has 10 teams so far, with plans to expand proposed but not agreed on, the second division of ryxtylopian rugby isn't considered a "Professional" league, thus receiving less funding than the other "B" leagues, only 1 team gets relegated from the first division and only 1 team gets promoted from the second division. 21. Economy The Ryxtylopian economy is best described as a developing economy, with a GDP (PPP) of $258,708,019,287, however with a population of over 22 million people, this means the GDP per capita is only $11,411, being the 3rd lowest in Aura after Dilber and Bilyad, despite this the economy is rapidly in development, however it has been anything but stable for the last 5 decades of Ryxtylopian history, with inflation, recessions and Ryxtylopia defaulting on its debt in two separate occations (in 1388 and 1402) being products of a bloated bureocracy, inbalanced spending and corruption. Ryxtylopia (currently) works under an open economy with limited government intervention, however with some intervention still present in some areas; however this seems to be changing as the economy continues to open up with Ryxtylopia seemingly on the path to laissez faire economics, especially when it comes to encouraging foreign investment, but this has resulted in new cases of corruption, the defunding of several government agencies and the widening of already-existing wealth gaps in the country. Ryxtylopia uses as its currency the (Ryxtylopian) Ryx, a relativley new currency, which replaced the "Darrón" a currency introduced at the start of the 1300's that suffered massive inflation in the 1380's and then completley lost its value in the early 1400's in one of the worst recessions in the history of Aura and the worst by far in Ryxtylopian history. The Ryx (RRY) can vary, and isn't the most stable currency, usually fluctuating around 43 Ryxes per $1, currently it sits at: $1 = 46RRY Unemployement rates in Ryxtylopia are difficult to calculate due to a lot of citizens working in the informal economy, its speculated to sit at around 6.34%, however a lot of jobs in Ryxtylopia still pay poorly compared to jobs in the rest of the world, whilst the government does provide services like universal healthcare and education up to high-school, many areas lack theese services, and even then a lot of the lower income families still spend large ammount of money on essentials (food, water) this translating to there being very little economic mobility between social classes. When it comes to economic composition, Agriculture remains in Ryxtylopia as a pretty large sector of the economy, at around 8.64%, while Industries sit at 39.87% with manufacturing quickly growing and the mining sector, which used to be Ryxtylopia's largest industrial sector, starting to stagnate. Finally the service sector is estimated to sit at 51% of the economy, this last sector also rapidly growing despite facing arguably more issues than the industrial sector. When it comes to taxes, Ryxtylopia has graduated taxation, with richer people (on paper) paying a higher % in taxes than poor people, however this system has several exemptions and loopholes. Tax breaks aren't that hard to obtain for a rich person or company, at least with the current administration, especially with the strategy of attracting international investment to the country. Products sold in Ryxtylopia are subject to a tax called the Impysto Natxinal di Ventas (the National Sales Tax), with the exemption of essential goods (i.e. food, water, some drugs and medicine, etc.) this tax varies depending on the good. Geography Ryxtylopia is divided into several regions, but its main geographic features are the divide between the semi arid and arid regions from the more temperate regions by the Ryxavinas mountains that go through the centre of the country, and of course, the channel between the mainland and the islands of Pinichaca and Tirilpa. The Western portion of the country is mostly semi-arid forests, woodlands and scrub, with the most southern points of the country being mostly semi-arid desert and shrub. The Eastern portion of the country is more temperate, with temperate forests and some grasslands in the south-east, this climate also applies to the two main islands north of the mainland: Pinichaca and Tirilpa respectively. In terms of international borders Ryxtylopia counts with 2 land borders and 1 sea border, in the south, Ryxtylopia borders Dilber and Bilyad, the latter probably being Ryxtylopia’s most guarded border, due to Bilyad being an unstable nation Ryxtylopia faces a lot of refugees crossing the border. While north of Tirilpa (island) Ryxtylopia has a maritime border with Ageros, along the small islands in the middle of the channel. Topographic Map Biomes Map Administration and Internal Divisions Ryxtylopia is composed of 3* Types of Subdivision: States, Districts and Municipalities each administering a piece of land at smaller levels. Ryxtylopia has: 10 States 72* Districts 454 Municipalities 1 Administrative District. STATES Each state has their own legislative and judicial systems (despite this in legislative terms, most of the time, laws made at the national level are considered before state laws) as well as this, states have representation proportional to their population at the national level. States also elect their own governors who serve for 4 years, and after this state elections happen where the seats at the state legislature will be spread proportionally-ish depending on the % of the vote each party gets. DISTRICTS* Districts don’t have legislatures, rather they are formed from councils composed from people of the different municipalities of each District, which can then make petitions or suggestions to their state governments. Each District council will elect one of their members as their representative at the state level, since while the State legislature is composed from people who live in all the state, District councils are only composed of locals, therefore, the idea behind electing someone to represent them is to make sure their voice is heard at the state level, but this system has been proven to be flawed at best. MUNICIPALITIES Municipalities don’t have legislatures, they’re very similar to districts, only that it's more of at a local level, not regional, and they have more influence over their District council, than the Districts have over the state legislature. Also unlike districts, municipalities do elect a head, that is similar to the governor of a state but at a local level, with this governor having a say in the District council, as the elected governor, as well as advisors are part of the District council. The D.A.F The D.A.F isn’t a state, being the seat government at the national level it has its own special status, it's still divided into municipalities, and pretty much acts like a state, since it holds Ryxenia, the largest city and capital of Ryxtylopia makes it giving it representation at the national level a MUST. The only differences between the D.A.F and other states are that the D.A.F doesn’t have its own state legislature, only local legislature, but recently, calls for the D.A.F to be stripped of its special status and be made into a new state have arisen in the past decade or so. THE STATES OF RYXTYLOPIA As said previously, Ryxtylopia has 10 States, in this section of the factbook, we’ll review each state, along with their population, demographic makeup, economy and some miscellaneous facts about each one. *GDP per Capita(s) rounded to 0 Saxatí Location Flag Population: 1,792,100 GDP: $36,141,280,700 GDP per Capita: $20,167 Yilanit Location Flag Population: 2,907,909 GDP: $36,311,059,683 GDP per Capita: $12,487 Elaaní Location Flag Population: 1,029,445 GDP: $9,021,026,535 GDP per Capita: $8,763 Carraizal Location Flag Population: 726,243 GDP: $4,499,075,385 GDP per Capita: $6,195 Talaxachá Location Flag Population: 1,130,448 GDP: $9,542,111,568 GDP per Capita: $8,441 Pestalpa Location Flag Population: 5,274,558 GDP: $55,335,387,978 GDP per Capita: $10,491 7-Cantríxa Location Flag Population: 4,097,330 GDP: $34,503,615,930 GDP per Capita: $8,421 Pinichaca Location Flag Population: 582,319 GDP: $4,136,794,176 GDP per Capita: $7,104 Tirilpa Yste Location Flag Population: 894,174 GDP: $7,499,437,338 GDP per Capita: $8,387 Tirilpa Nyste Location Flag Population: 1,056,724 GDP: $10,307,285,896 GDP per Capita: $9,754 The D.A.F (Dystrito di Administraxion Fidieral) The Federal District of Administration Location Flag Population: 3,180,560 GDP: $37,843,872,978 GDP per Capita: $16,164 Branches of Goverment EXECUTIVE BRANCH The man (or woman) responsible for leading Ryxtylopia is none other than whoever’s in charge of the office of the presidency, who must use his powers to enforce the laws of the Ryxtylopian Constitution through the country. The president of the Ryxtylopian Federation is elected by popular vote every 5 years, without the possibility of re-election, campaigning for the presidency of Ryxtylopia take place between January all the way to the election, which takes place between April and May, the winner would then be sworn in on the last day of May of the said year, a tradition born after the fall of the Ryxtylopian dictatorship in the 1390’s when it became tradition for the New President to be Sworn in the last day of May, May for most Ryxtylopians being a “Patriotic Month” as Ryxtylopia’s National day is May 15th, and several other national holidays are in May (such as “Flag day”; May 17th, and “Army day”; May 19th). Historically, the president's power in Ryxtylopia has always been either questionable or absolute, despite this in the modern day, the president has a substantial amount of power. The president of the Ryxtylopian Federation is the “Supreme Commander'' of the Ryxtylopian Armed Forces, and the president can also enact several powers to exert influence over the country. A lot of these measures bypass the lower house of congress, which HAS caused trouble in recent years, many feeling that the president’s power is excessive, and Ryxtylopia is entering another “Authoritarian” period in its history. LEGISLATIVE BRANCH The Ryxtylopian legislative system (congress) or known as the National Assembly has 2 chambers, the lower house has 620 Seats while the upper house has 220 Seats. The lower house, called the Chamber of Representatives (Camirá di Repristantes.) as said previously has 620 seats, and all are elected by popular vote during national elections, with each political party getting a number of seats proportional(ish) to the percentage of votes they got in the election. The upper house, called the Federal Chamber (Camirá Fiederai) has 220 seats, these represent the states, with each state having seats proportional to their population, this also counts the F.A.D, and these seats are determined by state elections. For the passing of laws, bills, provisions, etc. Each house has its own requirement to pass, the Chamber of Representatives only needs a simple majority (51%) to pass, while the National Assembly needs a Supermajority of 60% for proposals to pass. This is how normal legislative sessions work in Ryxtylopia, however during a state of emergency, or any exception to constitutional order, the president has the power to lower the amount required to pass a change to a minority in both houses. (30% in the Chamber of Representatives and 35% in the National Assembly). JUDICIAL BRANCH Ryxtylopia’s Judicial system is conformed by several levels with the Supreme Court at the top, and rural courts at the bottom. Most disputes and affairs would be handled by metropolitan or urban courts, which are right above the so-called rural courts in Ryxtylopian, rural courts being based in sparsely populated segments of the country, while urban and metropolitan courts are located in cities. After the urban and metropolitan courts come the district courts, which can oversee or take on cases which the courts below it cannot. If cases rise in importance most will end up at the district courts, rarely any cases are brung to the “Regional courts” the next level on this scale. Finally we have state courts and (The) Supreme Court of Justice, the highest court of Ryxtylopia, which is only composed of 14 magistrates, picked by a committee appointed by congress.
