United Adaikes Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Please do not post in this thread if you are not a participant. Also, no OOC posts, please. Welcome to Rugby World Cup VI in Ryxtylopia! This is an international rugby union tournament. If you are a participant, you can start posting about your nation's rugby team (logo, players, kits, and any other related information). You can also post about your team's preparations for this event! Another important thing to include in your roster post is the "role play permissions". If you want to role play while making sure that the other RPer(s) won't do inevitable things you don't want to happen to your team, you can post these below outlining what the other RPers can or cannot do, for example: RP permissions: If my opponent RPs first, they may... Choose my try scorers: Y/N Choose my kicker: Y/N RP injuries: Y/N Godmod scoring events: Y/N Godmod injuries: Y/N Godmod other events: Y/N The last three permissions, godmodding, is the role playing unrealistic or unbelievable things happening. So if you want a more realistic experience for your team (and what we hopefully want in the games for the duration of the tournament), you can ask other RPers not to godmod in your matches. You can also add, leave, or remove any role permissions you want. It's your team, so we will let you dictate the way your team plays (as long as it is realistic). Also, you can include what we call a "style modifier". This is a number between -5 and +5, which indicates if you are a defensive (leaning to negative numbers) or an offensive (leaning to positive numbers) team. If you don't put one, you'll automatically get a neutral modifier (0.00), and that is just fine. There will be 3 attributes that will determine the skill of a team for the scorinator (xkoranate): base skill, RP post bonuses, roster bonus. 30% of the base skill and 70% of the total of the RP post bonuses and roster bonus will be the basis for the skill attribute of a team in the scorinator. The base skill will be from the latest Rugby Rankings being managed by the Free State of Dalimbar. As this is a sports RP event, all RPs made by a participant will be given a bonus. However, we believe in "Quality over quantity". It does not mean that a participant with the most number of RP posts in the tournament will have the highest RP bonus. It should be known that multiple posts of a participant before a specific matchday will only be credited to that incoming matchday alone except for posts about the team roster, as it is also a different RP bonus attribute. For RP posts, the highest score that a participant can receive in a specific matchday is 1 point, with the lowest score being 0.1, based on the quality of the current best RP for that matchday, as determined by the OOC host. On succeeding matchdays, the RP bonus received from the previous matchdays will be accumulated to the total RP post bonus. The roster bonus is about your team (as mentioned above, the logo, players, kits, and any other related information). Participants posting only the starting XV of their team will only receive 0.5 points. Posting 31 or more players will receive 1 point. Anything between 15-30 will have 0.70 points. Roster bonus will be doubled if a participant submits a comprehensive team information (with team logo and kit(s) at the minimum receiving at least a 1.2x multiplier for the roster bonus). With this, may I request that the post regarding your roster shall be posted first and your RP for the first matchday shall be separate. If you have any questions, you can always ask me in Discord. You can DM me or drop your question in #🏉🌎🏆6️⃣ of the RP server. You can also ask me in the OOC thread. Note: Reserving posts are only for the IC host (Ryxtylopia) and OOC host (United Adaikes). Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia Posted September 19 Posted September 19 For the second time ever, Ryxtylopia is hosting a global sporting event. Two years ago it was the third edition of the World Cup of Football. And now its going to be the sixth edition of the Rugby World Cup. Ryxtylopia is a country diverse in cultures, and enthusiastic about sports, so we welcome you to take a read and learn all you need to know about the country that will host this edition of the Rugby World Cup. Ryxtylopia - An overview: Ryxtylopia is located in the northernmost point of mainland Aura, being at a sort-of crossroads point between Aura, Polaris, and Doll Guldur. Ryxtylopia is can be divided into three: The mainland, the island of Pinichaca, and the island of Tirilpa. Ryxtylopia has 3 borders, all in the south with: Bilyad, Dilber and Hashmiyyia. Its also in close proximity to Ageros and United Adaikes via sea. Officially known as The Federation of Ryxtylopia, the country is populated by around 33.5 million people, most of them located in the mainland, and more specifically around either the coastlines, the central-ryxtylopian plain, or the Pestalpa valley in the east of the country. The country is sub-divided into 10 states and one administrative district. Ryxtylopia's Cities Ryxtylopia's States Ryxtylopia is a Federal Constitutional Presidential Republic, with a president as the head-of-state. The current president of Ryxtylopia currently being led by President Ediuardo Etsañó from the New Movement Party (NyvoMoveminto in Ryxtylopian). In the constitution the country has protects most rights that are expected from democracies, like freedom of speech, of the press, and of travel. RWC VI - The Venues: In total for this tournament Ryxtylopia has 10 stadiums that will host matches, located in 8 venue cities: Ryxenia, Pinilaca, Mytapixas, Tsalapaní, Tilipaca, Parta'ana, Liípica and Trichanacó. Spread out across 5 of Ryxtylopia's states (including the DAF). The stadiums for each group have been selected by loaction, to ensure the least travel possible between different venue sites. Two of the groups will have their games played in the same city. While for the other groups, transport routes have been set up. STADIUMS FOR RWC VI The stadiums on this list are ordered by capacity: Spoiler Istadio Franco Rivalda The place where the WCF III Final took place, and Ryxtylopia's largest stadium. This stadium has been through many battles, however almost all of them have been in football/soccer. The Franco Rivalda has yet to make a reputation for itself on Rugby, with only a few memorable moments being recorded here. However even with its 80+ years of age, the "Colossus" of Ryxenia is well maintained, posessing all the amenities any modern stadium should have. The stadium will host all rounds, and will be used for the Final. Location: Ryxenia, DAF Capacity: 84,600 Owned by: CA Rio Priava Tennants: None Chacas Arena The newest stadium on this list, recently built for Chacas Rugby Club, to be their new home ground. It was completed while RWC5 was underway and is Ryxtylopia's most modern stadium. This stadium promises the best experience possible in this RWC, and its the 2nd largest on this list, with its capacity temporarily expanded from 48, to 68 thousand spectators. The stadium will host all rounds, up to the semi-finals and the Bronze Medal match. Location: Pinilaca, Pestalpa Capacity: 68,000 Owned by: Chacas RC Tennants: Chacas RC Istadio Mytapixas Recently modernized for the RWC, the 60+ year old Mytapixas stadium is promising a new experience in an otherwise old stadium. Home to Mytapixas FC, and its brother from the Ryxtylopian Rugby League: Mytapixas Rugby Club. The stadium is well-connected to public transport and promises many amenities for its spectators. The stadium will host all rounds, up to the quarter-finals. Location: Mytapixas, Saxatí Capacity: 61,480 Owned by: Government of the state of Saxatí Tennants: Mytapixas RC Istadio Ciudade Tsalapaní The largest stadium in the city of Tsalapaní, a venue that has showed its age but it has been chosen for RWC VI, the Istadio Tsalapaní has a cylindrical-shape which makes for smoe akward seating arrangements in some parts, but with its capacity of over 50-thousand spectators it made for an obvious choice for this RWC. The stadium will host all rounds, up to the quarter-finals. Location: Tsalapaní, Cantríxa Capacity: 55,000 Owned by: CF Tsalapaní Tennants: None Istadio Danté Riavas Another stadium that has survived through the decades, seeing great moments in Ryxtylopian football, however not having many notable moments in Rugby, the stadium while it has shown its age is in a decent condition, and despite it suffering from issues, mainly the parking and narrow streets surrounding it, its capacity and location were key to it getting chosen for the RWC. The stadium will host all rounds, up to the round of 16. Location: Tilipaca, Cantríxa Capacity: 54,460 Owned by: Government of the state of Cantríxa Tennants: None Istadio Xalaví Sarraché Another stadium that has survived through the decades, seeing great moments in Ryxtylopian football, however not having many notable moments in Rugby, the stadium while it has shown its age is in a decent condition, and despite it suffering from issues, mainly the parking and narrow streets surrounding it, its capacity and location were key to it getting chosen for the RWC. The stadium will host all rounds, up to the round of 16. Location: Tilipaca, Cantríxa Capacity: 54,460 Owned by: Parta'ana RC Tennants: Parta'ana RC Istadio Arvaldi N. Guivarra The other “great” Ryxenia stadium, home to CA Bixas in the Ryxtylopian football/soccer league. Another field with the capacity to host rugby matches that has never really been given the chance. It has a fairly decent capacity despite being in a poor-ish state compared to the other stadiums chosen for RWC VI. The stadium will only host group stage matches. Location: Ryxenia, DAF Capacity: 47,500 Owned by: CA Bixas Tennants: None Istadio Raquivas Located in the largest city of the state of Saxatí, the Istadio Raquivas belongs to Club Raquivas, and its a multi-porpuse venue that, while not cutting edge, is a stadium in good-shape. It has a decent capacity and its near to the Liipíca airport, having excellent connection to public transport with the rest of the city. The stadium will host all rounds, up to the round of 16. Location: Liípica, Saxatí Capacity: 44,150 Owned by: Club Raquivas Tennants: None Istadio Lybirtad The smaller of the Tsalapaní stadiums, but also the most modern, after being rebuilt in 1412, the Istadio Lybirtad has been in an excellent state ever since its rebuilding, home to CA Cantrixense and Cantrixense RC, this stadium, similar to Chacas Arena has almost everything spectators could want. The stadium will host all rounds, up to the round of 16. Location: Tsalapaní, Cantríxa Capacity: 40,000 Owned by: CA Cantrixense Tennants: Cantrixense RC Istadio Trixalpe The smallest stadium on this list, but ironically the one with the most rugby-related history, located in the city of Trichanacó, the second city that disputes the title of "The Rugby Capital of Ryxtylopia" with Pinilaca, and home to Talaxachá RC, this stadium has seen many epic moments for ryxtylopian rugby and is the national team's de-facto second home, its good condition and history alone led it to be picked for RWC VI. The stadium will only host group stage matches. Location: Trichanacó, Talaxachá Capacity: 36,180 Owned by: Government of the state of Talaxachá Tennants: Talaxachá RC STADIUMS BY GROUP Spoiler Group A Chacas Arena Istadio Trixalpe Group B Istadio Franco Rivalda Istadio Arvaldí N. The climate in Ryxtylopia is warmer than some of the northern continents, and while the country does have arid regions to its south, none of the venues are located there, so it's expected most tourists will handle the climate just fine. Many neighborhoods in the cities that have venues that could host the tournament will be vibrantly decorated, with artwork painted on the sides of buildings and roads, this is not true for all neighborhoods but for the tourist hotspots it is. When it comes to food visitors can expect Parviallaidas, large gatherings of people cooking foods in the open, often in the streets using grills, and sharing the food; when it comes to food people may expect: Meat, mainly chicken and beef, many types of grains, greens spread throughout, and of course: beans. However it is advised that tourists acknowledge the risk of eating street food, coming from the unsanitary conditions. In the drinks department there are many options, for those wondering, the legal drinking age in Ryxtylopia is 18, and its not uncommon beer to be served at games, most stadiums allowing it, as well as beer there is an abundance of sodas, water is also an option however its important to know TAP WATER IS NOT SAFE to drink in Ryxtylopia, and might result in diarrhea, therefore its advised to buy bottled water instead, as well as this a popular and traditional local drink present in many parts of the country is the Aquixata, a mix of grains, water and occasionally milk, boiled and then served, these drinks have been part of ryxtylopian meals for centuries and continue to be wildly popular and served. It is advised tourists READ ABOUT SAFE AND UNSAFE NEIGHBORHOODS, some neighborhoods in a few of the venue cities are not safe to visit, and exponentially increase the chance of becoming victim to crime, such as robbery, assault or worse. Information will be posted by the government prior to the tournament. In case of an emergency, whilst throughout the duration of the tournament and in or near the venues there will be supervision, for any emergency outside of these please call the number +2 58 179, this will place the caller in a line where they can report the emergency and call for help. Finally when it comes to interactions with locals, Ryxtylopian for some may be a bit hard to understand as it's unrelated to basically all the languages spoken in nations near Ryxtylopia, however for the world cup manuals on local customs and communication techniques will be published for the event. RWC VI - Safetey: For some Ryxtylopia has a reputation of being an unsafe country, however for this tournament the government security forces will make sure to keep the populace and visitors safe. Security within stadiums will be tackled by the municipal police forces of the venue cities, as well as private security. Certain items will not be permitted into the stadiums, and extra security will be called in for potential matches between rival countries. The stadiums themselves are divided into segments, with evacuation signs and routes in place for each segment, in case the need arises. Security outside the stadiums will be left to the state and national police force. Which will be present in key tourist areas and near the venues. As sometimes language barrier issues could arise, the Police force will do its best to position elements with the capacity to speak fluently in common around important venues and during important matches. Surveillance vans and elements on foot or bike will also conduct patrols during the tournament. RWC VI - Travel: Since most visitors will be arriving via air, transportation hubs have been set up at most airports in the venue cities, with either direct or indirect connection to other transport methods. Theese airports include: Ryxenia’s Divalaní International Airport, Pinilaca’s H. Arivaldí International, Liípica's Marco Vilixinca International, Tsalapaní's Airoporto Tsalapaní, Parta'ana Bixellas-Pixeiva Airport, Trichanacó's Ponta Baixa Airport, Mytapixas Sae Barasquillo International, and Tilipaca's Bahía Bianca International. Most transport is expected to be carried out by busses, as the Ryxtylopian governement has chartered busses and established temporary routes between cities in the group stage. Other transport methods can include train mainly available in the western venues, and for people in Ryxenia, Mytapixas, and Pinilaca their respective city metro systems. Any doubts on transportation can be solved at the information booths. We welcome you to Ryxtylopia and hope you enjoy the sixth edition of the Rugby World Cup! Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia Posted September 19 Posted September 19 Ryxtylopia The Ryxtylopian Rugby Association Axosiaxiao di Rugby Ryxtylopiano The Ryxtylopian Rugby Association, commonly known as the ARR from its initials, is the sporting body that manages the ryxtylopian national rugby team and oversees the ryxtylopian rugby league. The History of the ARR The ARR can trace its origins back to the early 1300’s, possibly around the 1310’s when rugby began to be played in Ryxtylopia for the first time, however it would not be until the 1331 that Ryxtylopia’s first amateur league arose in the eastern coast of the country, including teams from Pinilaca, Trichanancó, Golfo, Maiitzá and other cities. Which led to the formation of the Eastern Rugby Association of Ryxtylopia. 8 years later, in 1339, the ERUR transformed into the ARR, which continued the amateur competitions in two leagues: The Eastern and Western Rugby leagues, which would later be united in 1350. Nine years later the league was professionalized. Since then the ARR has hosted the Ryxtylopian Rugby League and been in charge of the national team. In the RWC, Ryxtylopia has had two appearances, in RWC4 and RWC5. Both participations were really successful for the national team, and while the dream of lifting the trophy hasn’t been achieved, the team has already brought home the bronze medal on one occasion. RWC4 In RWC4, Ryxtylopia’s debut got off to a rocky start losing their first ever game against Fujai, however the team bounced back and got several victories during the group stage, with 2 more losses to Aftokratoria and United Adaikes. In the Round of 16 they beat fellow debutants Ostronia 29-16, and faced reigning champions: Zoran in the Quarterfinals, where the ARR made one of the biggest upsets in Rugby, beating the zoranians 31-25 and moving on to the Semifinals, where they lost once again to the Adaikesians by a narrow margin of 3-5. However they got to play the bronze medal match against Cambria, a match that again looked difficult but the players of the ARR managed to win 27-24, taking home the bronze medal and closing an incredibly successful debut. RWC5 Flying down to Overthinkers for their second Rugby World Cup, the ARR almost had a perfect run in the group stage, once again beating now FUTURE champions Zoran in the groups. And almost going unbeaten until an unexpected loss to debutants: Noveauterra on the last day. In the Round of 16, Ryxtylopia beat Sekiya 18-14, followed soon by another victory in the Quarterfinals against Giovanniland 33-10. In the Semifinals, they played against hosts Overthinkers, with the ARR suffering one of its worst defeats to date losing 9-27. This meant the goal of reaching the final wouldn’t be reached, so the ARR had to try for another bronze medal against Teralyon. In a close match that dragged on, neither team moved from the 10-10 scoreline, and Ryxtylopia lost in penalties 4-1, ending the RWC5 run in 4th place. Even with the failure in RWC5, the ARR has proved its a competitive team, in all achieving 13 victories so far, to only 7 losses throughout both tournaments it has participated in. With a notable record being that the ARR has yet to lose to any teams from Aura, Ryxtylopia’s continent. High Expectations - The ARR in the 6th RWC Since this edition of the RWC will be hosted in Ryxtylopia; expectations for the national team are really high, maybe not as high as expectations were for the Dalimbari national team in their RWC, but definitely higher than probably most of the other participants. Nicknames: "Il Pirata / Os Piratas" - "The Pirate / The Pirates" (A play on words from the acronym of the ARR.) Materos Posted September 21 Posted September 21 The Materosian Bantigons Some history on The Materosian Bantigons The Materosian Bantigons were formed at around 1376 when a group of college students were studying outside of Materos and found out about this fun sport. So they decided to bring it back home! Beginning as a small club they named after a Tarinilistic god that didn't bring a lot of attention, the sport grew and became more popular. With more and more clubs forming and competing against TMB. In 1410 they won in the National Materosian Rugby Championships and became the national team for Materos. This is also the first time that TMB competes internationally so they're definitely looking forward to it! Expectations TMB expects a fun and fair game, of course they're excited but they'd rather not go back home with broken bones or missing limbs. So they expect a friendly but active world cup. Nouveau Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Nouveauterra The Nouveauterran National Rugby Team is organized by La Commission Nouveauterre de Rugby Professionionale, a professional sporting commission chartered by the Ministry of Culture. The National Team Nouveauterra has had a national rugby team since its accession to the Doll Guldur Economic Cooperation Agreement in 1394. The national team, and the sport of rugby in general, has a small playerbase because of its lack of local popularity. Soccer, boxing, and golf have had greater viewership numbers in recent years. The national team’s appearance at RWC5 was the team’s debut after management restructuring and reforms to bring the organization in line with the World Rugby Federation. The team went far, passing the qualifier rounds and making it to the Round of 16. This year the new coach, Frederick Doan, hopes to bring the team gold. Zoran Posted September 21 Posted September 21 21 September 1425 — Today Queen Atsila I granted royal assent to the Iyunadai's recent legislation on AI. The new law will effectively ban generative AI for consumer and commercial use citing the dangers it poses to education, jobs, and privacy as well as its use for spreading false information. Beyond this, the law effectively forces any online service to either remove their AI features and AI generated content on their platforms or be banned from the country. This would apply to search engines, social media platforms, etc. giving platforms and businesses a timeframe of three months to comply with this legislation. It also institutes a five year ban on all AI development and use to allow time for lawmakers to research and develop regulations for AI. AI companies like Large Box, Inc, the Overthinking company and creator behind the popular generative AI, Ping AI, are to be most affected as their business revolves around the services provided by their Large Language Models with the ban effectively blocking them out of the Zoranian market. Critics state that this legislation would put Zoran at a disadvantage in the realm of technological development and would further risk isolating Zoran economically. Critics also point out that those with enough coding knowledge could create their own AI for their own use. Meanwhile advocates of the law argue that it will address concerns regarding education and critical thinking skills among students in regards to AI as well as buy time to make comprehensive AI regulation in areas such as consumer protections, intellectual property rights, national security, and other sectors. It also says that with the shutdown of massive AI data centers within the country, the cost of utilities and availability of water in the country in the surrounding areas of these data centers would be restored to pre-AI levels. The environmental impact caused by these data centers in the country would also be put to an end with the shut down of these data centers. Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Ryxtylopian Chamber of Deputies Friday 19th, 15:25 hrs, Ryxenia Time. (IAT-1) It was supposed to be just another ordinary session in the chamber of deputies, in the ryxtylopian congress, however instead of the normal session the NyvoMoveminto deputies would have wanted, only a few moments into starting the whole chamber was already a mess, accusations flying around as most of the left-wing opposition members in congress united on their section of the room, either: fists in the air or yelling insults. The plan to host a Rugby world cup wasn't new, and had been on the works ever since Ryxtylopia hosted WCF III, however instead of submitting a bid for RWC5, it was decided to invest more into rugby infrastructure and finish the Chacas Arena, which despite being owned by Chacas, was in large part funded by government funds, something which had angered most of the left-wing parties. Mainly since finishing preparations for a at the time still unconfirmed RWC had taken priority over several key infrastructure projects in Ryxtylopia. It seemed that the completion of the Chacas Arena was at the center of it. Chacas Rugby Club brand new stadium had costed 19 billion ryxes, and according to official accounts, 35% of that ammount was funded by the government, however accusations had arisen that the real ammount was closer to 40% or even 50%, too much for a stadium that in the end wasn't government property. Chacas RC had plans to build a new stadium for at least a decade, but work only started recently, when the NyvoMoveminto-lead government had showed interest in hosting major sporting events which painted Ryxtylopia in a somewhat good light. The left had always been in the lead of oppostition to the big and flashy tournaments, even if almost everybody knew about the intentions to host RWC, the left alone couldn't get the simple majority they needed to block it, after all NyvoMoveminto had around 65% of the seats (including their allies). And so on the 19th of September almost absolute chaos errupted in the chamber of deputies, on a session that was supposed to be precisely about reviewing the budget of the Department of Agriculture. Leading the charge, members of the National Agrarian Party, the PNA, nobody will know if it was a genius move or a stupid one, given the meeting was originally supposed to be about the Dept. of Agriculture, something the PNA is usually very interested in as the DoA covers subsidies to small farmers. But if they were shooting their political agenda in the foot didn't matter today as deputy Lardo Dipixelva quickly yelled: "Give us the actual ammount!" Referring to the grants and money donated to Chacas for the completion of their stadium. A response quickly came from Marco Firrivas, NyvoMoveminto deputy: "We already told you and your party! Its 6 billion! End of story! You do not know how to take others by their word do you?" Lardo didn't back down: "You are corrupt! I know you took public funds in your time as president of Birranquíe! And I will not trust a rat!" To which Marco responded: "Your parties coalition is the whole reason why we had to review and rewrite the budget on the Department of Energy a whole 9 times! You are totally incapable of compromising and working to make our country better!" And it was at that point where deputy Julio Marco Tixalva in the Worker's Party section shouted: "If you hadn't been born we wouldn't have sold the country out to Polaris!!" At which point chaos re-errupted in the room. Another heated argument between the 4 left-wing parties and NyvoMoveminto, nothing new, even if this one had turned into senseless yelling, not mentioning police had already dispersed a small crowd in front of congress not even an hour ago. Another tournament, meant more state repression apparently, and unlike last time, it seemed like the state had the upper hand this time, no major protests had errupted and any attempts were disuaded to back down or dispersed, just as RWC 6 was announced to be in Ryxtylopia. Usually the center-left parties stayed out of arguments like this, letting things calm down, but this time both deputies from the Citizen's Union and the Ryxtylopian Social Movement had joined the more radical parties in demanding information about the total ammount spent, while the members of the Ryxtylopian Democratic Party attempted in vain to calm the situation and most of the conservative or right-leaning parties remained silent on the whole matter or supported the official stance. Attempts to call for order did not work, and as it semed it couldn't get any worse, suddenly... SLAP! National Party Deputy: Ernysto Zivalté slapped Julio Marco Tixalva right in the face, triggering a fight which forced security to be called in as a recess was ordered in a vain attempt to stop the chaos. With PNA, PT, PP, PN and NyvoMoveminto members starting to join the fight while security members struggled to make their way down as members from the other parties left the room. If the forced dispersions by the security forces earlier in the day hadn't made it clear, the reality stood now. This RWC would not be controversy free for the Ryxtylopian government, and opposition would potentially be more fierce than what they had faced in WCF III. But it wasn't all bad for NyvoMoveminto since for now it seemed like the battle would be fought between deputies in the floor of congress, and not in the streets between rioters and the police. Nouveau Posted September 22 Posted September 22 Psychedelics Cleared for Psychiatric Use Per New Ruling Current as of: 9/22/1425 A Purple Parasol mushroom being held by a researcher By Timothee Bellefont Psychedelic substances have been cleared for use in professional psychiatry, according to the Ministry of Health. The Ministry’s Medicinal Substance Control Board made the filing in the early morning after nearly three months of academic review, hearings, and practitioner testimony. Psychedelics, like night dancer, datura, Horse Emission slime, and a host of other psychoactive plants were put under the Controlled-Experimental substance designation as an act of The Lower Assembly in 1420. This made recreational use illegal, but scientific studies were permitted. That’s where Doctor Walter van Brook began making discoveries. Doctor Walter van Brook “It’s much easier to teach someone they aren’t afraid of heights if they’re a little more suggestible to the whole idea of going up a skyscraper,” said Doctor van Brook. He is a research professor at Université Nationale à Ortsul specializing in pharmacotherapy. “Psychedelics greatly enhance the effectiveness of certain therapies, like cognitive behavioral therapy, post-traumatic group therapy, even basic talk therapy is made far easier.” Doctor van Brook and other researchers testified to the MSCB when hearings began in mid-June, voicing support for psychedelic substances based on studies and anecdotal evidence of recreational users. Doctor Claire Marquee-Veilleux Blanc Others however were skeptical, like doctor and political activist Doctor Claire Marquee-Veilleux Blanc. “I see patients in my practice come in, they’re strung out on drugs and other substances because we’re so quick to fix a heart issue with a pill, or an injection, or something other than the full restoration of the soul.” Doctor Blanc, and another activist Kal Rems organized protests and prayer circles outside of the Ministry of Health’s Place du Saint office building as the decision day neared. After the decision, each side had their perspective: “It’s a good day for patients,” Doctor van Brook said. “New tools in the tool belt is always a good thing, and hopefully for patients with thorny mental illness, these psychoactive plants are just what they’d need.” “This is an affront to the mind and soul of the nation,” Doctor Blanc said. “The Global Cabal and the Deep State are the only winners here, creating a submissive, suggestible populace. We will continue to pray and protest for the good of this country.” The long term societal effects of these new substances being legal is unknown, however corporations and psychiatric practices are already capitalizing on the new substances. Pharmaceutical giant Boulaire announced they would soon apply for a copyrighted formulation of MDMA called Naxama to be cleared by the MSCB, to treat anxiety. Teralyon Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Teralyon Heads to Ryxtylopia for 6th Rugby World Cup Tarajeva, Teralyon – Excitement is surging across the nation as the Teralyon National Rugby Team departs for Ryxtylopia, where they will compete in the prestigious 6th Rugby World Cup. With the tournament set to gather the world’s best teams, Teralyon’s squad carries both the hopes of a proud rugby nation and the momentum of a side that has steadily built a reputation for grit, power, and unity. The Teralyon team has spent the past months in intense preparation under the guidance of Manager Ratko Jenic and coaches Maldoc Wenavic and Vush Brajna. Training camps in Tarajeva and Suza focused on fine-tuning both the physical edge and tactical awareness required to thrive against the world’s elite. “This team is hungry,” said Jenic before boarding the flight. “They know what this means to Teralyon, and they’re ready to prove that we belong at the top of world rugby.” Led by captain Zivko Koci, the team blends experienced veterans with a new generation of rising stars. The forward pack, featuring stalwarts like Bozhil Nikolic and Radi Malenkov, is expected to provide the brute strength needed in scrums and mauls. In the backline, the playmaking creativity of Visnja Dvorkin and the steady leadership of seasoned scrum-half Svetla Minkski will be crucial to unlocking opposition defenses. Analysts have noted Teralyon’s balance between power forwards and agile backs as a key reason for optimism heading into the tournament. In Tarajeva, fans gathered at the airport to see off the team, waving banners in royal purple and silver and chanting “For Teralyon!” as the players passed through. Across the country, anticipation is at a fever pitch, with pubs, clubs, and public squares preparing to host watch parties for the matches ahead. “This is bigger than rugby,” said longtime supporter Milena Dravovic. “It’s about pride, unity, and showing the world who Teralyon is.” Ryxtylopia, renowned for its rugby heritage, is set to host what promises to be the most competitive edition of the Rugby World Cup yet. Teralyon has been drawn into a challenging pool but is determined to rise to the occasion. The team’s first match will be closely watched as a measure of their strength and ambition. As the purple-clad squad takes flight, one thing is certain: Teralyon is ready to write the next chapter in its rugby story. Home Soil, Home Glory: Teralyon Drivers Shine Brightest in Testing Terajeva, Teralyon — Under the blazing Teralyonian sun, the opening pre-season test at Autodrome Terajeva ended with a familiar sight: a Teralyonian atop the timesheets. Formula Valkyrie-Astrates’ Sasha Maric set the outright pace with a searing 1:31.744, delighting the home crowds and igniting hopes of a title challenge this season. Not far behind, Misha Raikkovic of Zvesda Auto Formula delivered a stellar qualifying-style lap, just 0.068s adrift. The Teralyonian veteran looked confident all week, reminding the paddock why he remains a feared one-lap specialist. Together, Maric and Raikkovic sent a clear message: the road to the championship may well run through Teralyon. Beyond the home heroes, Ryxtylopia’s Marco Firrivas and Cambria’s Mateo Dragic impressed with consistent pace, while CopperUA’s Aaron Deering logged the highest mileage of any driver, showcasing Adaikesian reliability. But not all left Terajeva satisfied. Bayani Motors suffered repeated gearbox failures, completing fewer laps than any other team. Radostin Motorsport, beloved by many for their grit, managed only sporadic running due to fuel pump issues. As the paddock packs up, the narrative is clear: Teralyon’s drivers stand strong, and the roar of their engines in testing may foreshadow dominance once the lights go out for Round 1. Pre-Season Testing at Autodrome Terajeva Combined Fastest Times (Top 10) 1. Sasha Maric (Formula Valkyrie-Astrates) — 1:31.744 2. Misha Raikkovic (Zvesda Auto Formula) — 1:31.812 3. Stefan Correa (Ironforge GP) — 1:32.600 Notable Long-run king: Viraxa (MYT) — 70 consecutive laps with minimal drop-off. Rookie surprise: Kristian Alver (Cambrias) P12, quick on consistency runs. Trouble spots: Bayani Motors both cars repeatedly sidelined with gearbox failures. Radostin Motorsport plagued by fuel pump issues — barely managed 40 laps total across 3 days. Overthinkers Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Team Introduction Change is in the air for Team Overthinkers this World Cup. Due to his personal health, beloved coac h Anton “Ed” Edwards will not be at the helm as the Kites seek a second finals appearance. Instead, Vilan “The Professor” Taurus has stepped up. But the changes will ultimately not end there. Fresh off her fourth TRY RL title, team captain Theresa Argent has announced her retirement at the end of the year. Last year, the Kites were only aiming for the podium. This year, it’s gold or bust. The remainder of the domestic rugby triumvirate–Lee Julius, the unstoppable force, and David Nauta, the immovable object–remain mainstays of the roster. Nauta, nearly as old as Argent, has not lost any power over the years. Julius, on the other hand, is coming off their statistically worst season yet. Not to worry, though–Julius at 75% can still outmaneuver the entire Ryxtylopian side. Many eyes now turn to Siena Aliester, the fiery half-back who turned heads with her breakout performance domestically this year. Pundits are less concerned about her athletic skills transferring to the international stage than they are her PR “skills”. There is a rumour that some wayward soul from the Free State may have been trying to... help... the Varanians, but we I'm sure the Boys will actually be the ones to help their squad get on the Path and out of our way to bring the Cup home! *applause from the audience* MZ: We have a special treat, ladies and gentlemen. Joining us here in the studio to talk more about the road ahead is our fearless captain of the squad, Luka Ivica! *loud applause, many in the audience look mildly unhinged in their applause for the man the Free State treats almost as a rugby demi-god* Luka Ivica, Captain: Thank you, thank you! *the Captain winks into the camera, shortly after this moment was broadcast in the Free State, it was reported that there were multiple faintings from fans who needed medical attention and were found passed out in front of their devices* MZ: Thank you for being here, Luka, so shortly after you arrived! Obviously there's a few days before your first match against Varanius, but how do you feel about being here Ryxtylopia for your third World Cup? LI: Doing well! I'm glad to be back in the saddle for the Boys, I had a great season playing for Geness but have to hand it to Ignacij and Benedikt with Donuzlav for getting their first Marshal's Cup this year. But we're all happy to be here in a nice sunny location, looks like a great spot to play some world class rugby! MZ: Hopefully the stadiums here can handle a Dalimbari team! *audience whoops* MZ: There's a lot of people supporting you and the rest of the squad, and with this being your third captainship of the national team, who do you go to for advice for the upcoming matches? LI: You know, my mentor was Theodor Rybar, who was captain for the first and second cups, and of course I can't forget my good friend Alexandre Arts who was captain in the third. These guys helped me see a way for us to win back home in Dalimbar. We all hoped for a back-to-back performance, if it wasn't for the crafty Zoranian heathens in the Quarter-finals last time... *the crowd grows almost feral in their booing at mention of the Zoranians* LI: But put it this way, friends. We have had a long walk along the Path and if we find ourselves against the Zoranians again, we will have sweet vengeance and restore the honour of Dalimbar. *the small audience of Dalimbari froth in celebration and the hope of vengeance* *the broadcast carries on but continues to be normal Dalimbari sports-propaganda which may not be of interest to a foreign viewer* Zoran, Nouveau, Staneburg and 3 others 6
Staneburg Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Staneburg to Face Hosts in Rugby World Cup Debut By James Smith, The Vaulernia Post Wed, September 24 1425 Cauloria, Staneburg – History beckons for Staneburg Rugby as the national team prepares to step onto the Rugby World Cup stage for the first time. Their opening match comes against the hosts, Ryxtylopia, a side with an impressive record at recent tournaments. For Staneburg, the occasion is bigger than a single fixture. It marks the nation’s arrival on rugby’s grandest stage. The players have been in intense preparation, determined to prove they can stand alongside the world’s best. Facing the hosts is no small challenge. Ryxtylopia claimed bronze in their debut tournament and followed it with a fourth-place finish last time out, establishing themselves as one of the competition’s most respected teams. "A picture of Manager Richard Schmidt" Staneburg’s manager, Richard Schmidt, acknowledged the task ahead but spoke with quiet confidence: “We know Ryxtylopia is a team with proven credentials at this level. But we are not here just to take part—we are here to compete. Our players want to show that Staneburg belongs on this stage.” Team captain Jonas Hartmann echoed the sentiment, reflecting on what the debut means for the squad: “Wearing the Staneburg jersey in a World Cup is a dream for all of us. We’re aware of the challenge, but we’re going to leave everything on the pitch. This is about making our country proud.” After their opener, Staneburg will meet fellow debutants Materos before closing the group stage against Nouveauterra. Whatever the results, this debut already marks a defining moment for Staneburg Rugby—a first step into the World Cup spotlight, and a chance to show the world what this new side can bring. WanD Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Overview Team Manager: Kenjiro Ishikawa Head Coach: Édouard Lemaire Team Captain: Edward Moore Nickname: The Skymantles The Greiyan National Rugby Team, nicknamed The Skymantles, is the national rugby union team of the Kingdom of Greiya. Administered by Rugby Greiya, the team is a significant cultural institution in the nation. They are currently making their debut appearance at the 6th Rugby World Cup in Ryxtylopia Rugby was introduced to Greiya during the colonial period but was formally adopted as a national sport following independence in 1370 AF. The national team was officially formed in 1376 AF, with its first match being a fiercely contested loss against their historical rivals. For much of its history, the team was a semi-professional squad that dominated its immediate region but consistently failed to qualify for major world tournaments. In 1418 AF, the hiring of Head Coach Édouard Lemaire ushered in the Professional Era. Lemaire's complete overhaul of the domestic league and youth development systems led to the rise of the current "Golden Generation" of fully professional athletes. Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia Posted September 25 Posted September 25 Channel 7 Sports A Special Broadcast - Ryxtylopia hosting the tournament, high expectations and the group stage. The transmission starts with a heavily autotuned voice: "CHANNEL 7, THE BEST SPORTS CHANNEL IN RYXTYLOPIA... NOW PRESENTS A SPECIAL BROADCAST!" Before switching from an animated intro to a studio with a presenter sitting in the side. "Good afternoon Ryxtylopia, welcome to Channel 7's special broadcast on RWC VI! My name is Inrique Miravez and i will be your host for today's program." "As many of you have already seen, RWC VI is about to start! Here in Ryxtylopia! And the Pirates are getting ready for the tournament, with high expectations too, but ever since the end of the last RWC, many questions have been asked about if the national team has the necessary material to be able to lift the trophy. Especially after that heavy loss to RWC V's hosts: Overthinkers." "So we are here to analize! To break down! To take a look at Ryxtylopia's team, and chances of qualifying, as well as some other factors that may impact their performance in this edition of the RUGBY WORLD CUP!" The screen switches to a table displaying Ryxtylopia's team stats. THE PIRATES "Ryxtylopia for this RWC goes in with most of the team from the last editions still intact! However new faces are starting to show themselves as some of the older members are moved into the reserve or retire from the national team! Even with this, most have a good ammount of experience from previous editions of the RWC." "As for the team itself! Ryxtylopia in its two RWC participations boasts some impressive stats! Having brought the bronze medal from Dalimbar on the debut! The Pirates can boast about not only having a dream debut, but they have also never lost to any other auran team, and they seek to keep it that way!" "Ryxtylopia has a mostly favorable record on both! With a better finish and a better PD in RWC IV despite having an overall lower effectivity rate and less wins! That could be a sign of the experience the team has gained as in RWC IV they were more inclined to risk-taking and always going for tries, which led to some pretty good results on some games, but also a few losses, while in RWC V the team refined their strategy and were able to keep a better consistancy, going almost unbeaten in the group stage and only losing a second bronze medal on penalties to Teralyon!" "In total Ryxtylopia has played 20 games in Rugby World Cups! And we can take a look back at all of them here! Our team had the potential to be good, but i do not belive anyone on that first matchday after the loss against Fujai would have expected such a good level of rugby." Ryxtylopia knows how to play rugby! And even outside of being hosts, is probably one of the favorites to win the tournament! Along with others like Overthinkers, seeking gold after falling by ONE POINT at home in the final against the zoranians last year! Teralyon current bronze holders, the only team to go unbeaten in the group stage last year! Zoran for obvious reasons, Dalimbar seeking their second win, United Adaikes after achieving the final 2 years ago! And probably many others whom have their own reasons to consider themselves favorites!" "As for rivals, Ryxtylopia will face THREE nations, and they are: Nouveauterra! Materos! And Staneburg!" "Two debutants! Plus the Doll Guldurian team that stopped Ryxtylopia from achieving a perfect group stage last year! We will now to procede to analize their playstyles! And attempt to get plausible results for the games in the next section of this program!" OUR RIVALS Nouveauterra "Nouveauterra! A country located in southern Doll Guldur! Which debuted last year in the RWC in Overthinkers! Making it out of a group with Ryxtylopia, Zoran, Saint Mark, Peourouin, Arifiyyah and Einherfell! The Nouveauterran team went up against a at the time Top-3 rugby side! And the future champions! And beat both of them in the first and last rounds of the group stage, in the end their team was able to get the third qualification spot and make it to the round of 16, where they got knocked out by United Adaikes." Winning over half of their group stage games! Even if they suffered some defeats. Their biggest win was also against the future champions of the tournament!" "Nouveauterra's team has shown that they're not afraid of rugby powerhouses, however it will be key to make sure the inconsistancies in their performance go away, for them to have a successful participation in the tournament. But given their experience now they will probably go with renewed confidence and under coach Frederick Doan they will probably battle it out with Ryxtylopia for first place, unless one of the debutants gives us a surprise!. Materos "The first debutant out of two in this list! Materos is an archipelago located in the southern portion of Aura, right below Saint Mark! And unfortunately we don't have much info on them as they are debutants, however we do know their national team has its routes in college students, and their national team in itself is relatively young." "We couldn't compile any data on their style of play or phsychology, however we can make a few assumptions. As debutants they want to make a successful debut which has to include going past the groups, and even if that's not the case they may still be seeking a win or draw against a more established team such as Ryxtylopia or Nouveauterra or could go all in against Staneburg and battle out for qualifying. Anything could happen with Materos!" Staneburg "The second debutant in our group! Staneburg is yet another Auran nation, located in eastern Aura, bordering Greyia. Another team which i wish we could have gotten more info on, yet our sources aren't reliable. That doesn't mean we cannot make guesses as to what will happen with their performance so lets take a brief look!" "Again, no data on style of play or phsychology, and unlike Materos we couldn't find the roots of their national team, which most likely means they're professional rugby players. They could hail from any rugby league in the world so that could mean a lot of possibilities. If they have previous national team experience, they'll probably jump in seeking qualification, if not they could seek to hold their own against the stronger sides and making a good impression on everybody even if means putting in risk their qualification or missing out. Expect anything from the debutants!" "And that's it for today's program! 4 nations! Seeking qualification to the next round:" "Ryxtylopia! The Pirates! Seeking to land on the podium once again, and as hosts lift the trophy at home!" "Nouveauterra! Now with RWC experience! With the hopes of reaching a further stage of the tournament, and proving the quality of their rugby!" "Materos! A young team with a dream! Of proving themselves against stronger sides!" "And Staneburg! A debutant seeking to make a great debut!" "That's the group stage that RYXTYLOPIA will face in this RWC!" "Join us tomorrow in Channel 7! for RYXTYLOPIA VS STANEBURG! THE OPENER OF THIS TOURNAMENT! Channel 7 brings only the best quality sports to your homes! Im Inrique Miravez and I wish you all a good day!" "DALÉ TRICOLÓR!!" Things In 51 BF; 1,476 years ago, the Anglians began to slowly reach the end of their shockingly long migration from northern Andolia. Their destination had been home to the Preselii, Meirion, Glyndoer, Ceredigiae, Maestei, Merthyrni and Alyni since around 1,200 BF. They likely came over to ensure their survival in an area of the continent where few others would care to try and live, an area of Esferos known as the Glacier of Desolation. The Meirion and Ceredigiae tribes were welcoming, the former for pragmatic reasons and the latter because it was in their nature and the beliefs held in their variation of Hertmerian Paganism. The Merthyrni would later be convinced to ally themselves with the Anglians too, and the 3 tribes began to carve out an identity for themselves - the Hertmerians. The other 4 tribes remained antagonistic and it wasn't long before the Ceredigiae led the newly crowned Hertmerians and their Anglian friends into one of the earliest wars in Esferosian history - a war that ended up rendering the Preselii, Glyndoer, Maestei and Alyni extinct. Rumours that the Maestei were able to survive the war by escaping further into central Andolia persist among the peeps of Hertfordshire-Jammbo. United Adaikes Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 The national rugby union team, currently sitting pretty at 3rd in the world, has announced its 31-player squad for the upcoming sixth Rugby World Cup (RWC6). This marks the team's fifth consecutive appearance on the global stage, and the federation is billing it as a "last dance" for a generation of players who have defined the last decade of the sport. Coach Ferne Huxtable, 55, will lead a squad rich with experience but also tinged with the inevitability of change. "This isn't just about winning; it's about sending off some of the greatest servants of our jersey with the honor they deserve," Huxtable stated at the squad reveal. "They've built the legacy this new wave will carry forward." The team's World Cup history is a rollercoaster of near-misses and hard-fought glory. They burst onto the scene with a Bronze Medal in the second tournament, narrowly missed the podium after a loss in the Bronze Medal match of the third, and then soared to the final of RWC4, ultimately clinching a Silver Medal. The last tournament, RWC5, ended in a disappointing Quarterfinal exit at the hands of the hosts, a defeat that has fueled this squad's preparations. This tournament will be the final bow for several key veterans who are set to retire from all competitive rugby after the final whistle: Tyrell Darwin (M, 37) and Hernan Jacobson (M, 37): The engine room of the forward pack, their partnership has been a cornerstone of the team's set-piece dominance for years. Koby Rose (M, 38): A fearless and cunning playmaker, Rose's game intelligence is unmatched. Keira Hull (F, 36): A relentless presence in the loose, whose work rate has inspired a generation of young back-row players. Cearra Hampton (F, 35) & Ursella Bissette (F, 31): While Bissette is younger, she has announced her international retirement to focus on family, ending a prolific center partnership with Hampton, who also hangs up her boots. Wing Stevie Christianson (M, 38), named among the reserves, will also retire, leaving behind a legacy of blistering pace and crucial tries. The squad balances this departing experience with exciting talent. Youngsters like fly-half Sidney Monk (22) and scrum-half Kole Boyce (22) represent the future, learning from the old guard before stepping into their shoes. As the third-ranked team globally, expectations are high. The nation hopes to see its veterans, like the formidable lock Candi Guerra (F, 36) and the explosive fullback Baldwin Joiner (M, 34), cap their careers with one final, legendary campaign. For Coach Huxtable and her charges, RWC6 is about closing one chapter and, they hope, writing the first line of a glorious new one. Zoran, Dalimbar, Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia and 2 others 5
