Post your national space agencies here! Nations on the map will receive full membership in the WAU, and nations not on the map will receive observer status. If you submit a map claim now (and are a member of the Hall), you will be considered a full member and may participate in elections.

This can include, but is not limited to:

  • Name
  • Logo
  • History
  • Important people
  • Launch capabilities
  • Facilities and spacecraft
  • Current projects/missions
  • International affiliations
  • Relationships, and joint operations, and affiliations with other nations (e.g. ESA-like bodies)
  • Anything else your spacefaring heart desires

Note: Keep in mind that TWP is roughly equivalent to modern tech, though that's not to say that with a lot of investment, some nations may be ahead of where RL Earth is. Please keep it reasonable or the wrath of Shen-zin will fall upon you (e.g. a nation of 5 million people probably can't send humans to another planet without a lot of help)

We encourage you to store your space agency information in a factbook, where it can be easily accessible from here and from NS so you can post it to the RMB. If you'd like any assistance with factbooks, please message the RP team (Bran, Reçueçn, Nieubasria , and myself)

Lastly, once you've submitted anything about your space agency, you may participate in the first WAU Presidential Elections! These will take place this week, where you'll be able to RP your nominee's presidential campaign, so prepare some information about them, because the nominations period opens on Tuesday! (more info incoming)

The Gryphonian Initiative for Space Exploration (GrISE)

Screen Shot 2019-10-07 at 5.38.49 AM.png

GrISE's main focus over the last decade has been the construction of its asteroid mining platform in conjunction with private companies. Thanks to the equatorial location of the Gryphonian Alliance, any rockets launched from the five different launch sites sprinkled around the country gain the full boost of Earth's rotational speed, which is greatest at the equator. This is actually what prompted the national government to found GrISE in the first place.

GrISE successfully launched its rockets up to orbit for Project Volcano Monkey in the past, and still plays a primary role in carrying instrumental array satellites up to orbit using its Negative Womb rocket series for the nation's research and communication purposes.

Edit: This is just a summary, I'll upload more to a factbook later.

It's a bit late, I know, but here's my own little thing, hope it's alright :)

Not late at all!! There's still six days of space week, and if you want to participate in elections you only have to post your space agency before voting begins!

The Bureau for Aeronautical and Astronomical Research is the main body responsible for leading research into space travel and extraterrestrial life with probe missions on Mars, construction of a research station on the Moon, research missions on the WAU Joint Space Station, satellite missions in the Kuiper belt and Jupiter's orbit, and the E.R.A.T. (Exoplanet Research Astronomical Telescope) satellite. The Bureau is also conducting ground research on building a fusion reactor in conjunction the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Affairs.
