  1. What else can you do to get your nation back? Is there anything we, as a region, can do?
  2. What could you have possibly done to them to get such a response?
  3. Indeed. An active forum is one of the defining features of a region (many regions require you to have one before accepting embassies), without one, TWP will be left behind in the ever evolving NS world.
  4. It will never die, true, but its activity certainly can.
  5. And what a great addition to the region you'll be tomorrow, next week, next month and forever and ever amen. Your forum is empty and (therefore) your regional activity is at an all time low. That is a crisis.
  6. You may have had the regions, but did they actually do anything? Signing on the dotted line is a lot different to working together as a stable unit. Pardon me, I forgot this got personal. I'm not just thinking it, it did fail. The truth is NSR didn't achieve the goals you set forth because what large, powerful region would want to bow down and worship TWP when they can quite happily run things by themselves? You and I both know NSR needed big regions for it to work. 60/86 members have less than or equal to 5 posts. That's hardly an active majority.
  7. If you're not willing to do anything, why accept the title "Guardian"? "Guardian" denotes a trust that in times of crisis a "guardian" will act to protect TWP. This is a crisis. If you are the only stable force in the region, you have to take the decisions to get people involved. New members are not going to want to join in with a discussion with a bunch of "old" members that talk about things that happened years ago. Promoting the forum could have been a good first step. Buckle up, it's here.
  8. I would disagree with this. NSR barely even got off the ground before it fell into inactivity, I would give it two months at most. A confused leadership and a confused direction will do that to a budding alliance.
  9. @PD: Are you saying that you do not find fault with the current system? The empty forum? The unheard voices of thousands of TWP members? Are you saying that you are glad that the current ineffective system is in place? I find fault with this statement due to the fact that there are only 7 guardians yet there are 4'557 TWP nations. No one, save your enclave, has any idea of what's going on and no one can influence the region. This statement shows a level of corruption that I didn't think existed in TWP. @God-Emperor: I believe that this is the beginning of what will eventually lead to a new TWP and I thank you for your support.
  10. If I'm correct, it was you that proposed "giving up the ghost" that was the RA. Taking umbrage is pointless, it was you that put the forces in motion to disband the RA, effectively turning the TWP into a dictatorship, a nice one but a dictatorship nonetheless. Especially if this: is what actually happens. I am perturbed by the notion that nothing could be done to save or adapt the RA system employed by TWP, as nearly all other regions (feeder, sinker and UCR) have found something for their members to do (I point to your activity in TNP, PD as, surely, your position and title are not the signs of a region that has lost the ability to act). If it was ineffectual, do something to change it instead of simply discarding it as another failed project - you have a strange way of being legislating friendly. You don't have to drive the bus, but most people would get out and push if the bus gets stuck in the mud. The way I see it, the bus (to continue your metaphor) is seriously stuck in the mud at the moment and it will take help and work to get it going again. Surely, being TWP's oldest members and guardians, you will help this bus get moving again; surely you will help to get TWP operating again; surely you don't want to see years of TWP history that you all helped to build and make go down the toilet because you couldn't be bothered to do something. That's great, but they're not doing anything. I mind keeps coming back to this. This appears, correct me if I'm wrong, to suggest that the people that run TWP simply "go along" with whatever the Delegate wants to do. That's wrong. No wonder TWP has stagnated if the Delegate has sole power over a region of nearly 5000 and a team that simply does what he says; where's the discussion, the innovation? I'm beginning to wonder what the world view of TWP (at the moment) must be.
  11. A good question, but you're are not in exactly the same position. TWP has a more than good chance of revival (I would save that revival is probable as opposed to possible), whilst NS Republic needs serious work or it will die soon. NSR needs to be taken seriously by all regions involved, something that I don't believe has happened yet, for it to succeed.
  12. Viva la revolution! I'm always up for a rebellion. Seriously though, I'm not the only person that believes something has to be done, am I?
  13. Let's hope it works. Though any potential new regions will need to see massive change in NSR before even considering applying for membership.
  14. Indeed. I believe it is time for the wheels of change to begin turning once more. We must either adapt the current system or start anew. One involves compromise but is easier to achieve the other is more likely to work completely in our favour but it will be hard work. There are difficult questions that need to be answered ahead.
  15. I amazed TP is still going on under Krull. I thought they would have got rid of him by now.
  16. Endorsement caps can be useful, but as you said, not the ridiculously low ones. They impede development and change, both of which are vital to maintaining an interesting community. The Pacific, perhaps?
  17. A shame, it could have been great and a force of the like that NS has never seen before.
  18. I've always thought that if a WA feeder Delegate doesn't have enough endorsements (endorsements=support of the people) to hold the region by themselves, they don't deserve the delegacy because they lack the support from the people. This also amuses me because Yy has enough endorsements to hold the region, he doesn't need guardians.
  19. Are people still working on NSR or has it been completely discarded?
  20. It irritates me, as well, that the most important thing to the region (according to the WFE) is the promotion of this jolly club of guardians.
  21. I assumed that the lack of activity and content was due to the new nature of the forums, although that clearly isn't the case. It's a shame that the last forums were abandoned due to lack of activity only for the new one to succumb to the same fate. I think that it was a mistake to allow PD and co. to destroy the RA and other legislative parts of TWP, these are the sorts of functions that draw new activity and players to offsite forums. It is this destruction (and the nature of having "guardians" running the show) that I believe to have killed these forums and forum culture in TWP.
  22. More information on telegrams has been released on the subject of the now ever-changing game rules in relation to telegrams. The basic message is: Spamsday is coming, run for your lives!
  23. The NationStates Republic... A noble idea for sure, but one wonders whether more planning should have gone in before it was created (the establishment of an actual aim of the Republic for instance, as it is clear that this was not established (and still hasn't been)). Where is the peck of pickled peppers that Peter Parker picked?
