Okay, okay. The economy is taking it's toll though, there doesn't seem to be much demand for marxist economists/ short story writers sadly! Still, more time for catching up with some internet politics.

Hello Halmont! I've taken a similar decision myself and it's good to see you again.

The West Pacific/Equilism Treaty
Big-G of Neandertron replied to Westwind's topic in Office of Foreign Affairs
Why is it in the military forum? Shouldn't it be in the embassies or something? -
I definitely agree with that guy about dark chocolate, I do love a bournville and I've been told I'm pretty smart.
-
Please feel free to start a revolution I say, it might be fun!

Genius

You are the most sort of benevolent tyrant a feeder could hope for!
-
Also I want to point out that I came up with the basic design for the flag but because I was bad at photoshop it looked awful.
-
Yeah we've tried checks and balances before and if the delegate wants they can just ignore it and banject everyone opposing them. I suppose it's worth having some way to make sure that a we get a benevolent-ish dictator if the current one leaves. e: oh also some way to tell the delegate to oppose all the stupid World Assembly resolutions.
-
right, all the main ones. The West Pacific: - Minister of Defence - Minister of Foreign Affairs - Speaker of the Regional Assembly - Ambassador to pretty much everywhere - I assume I was also a senator, I forget ADN: - Secretary of State for about an hour before the alliance finally collapsed - No. 1 at constantly grumbling to Dilber about how much the ADN sucked. Meritocracy: - I was a Senator for a bit Feudal Japan and the Tenka Fubu Alliance - Shogun - Newspaper Editor Scroll Islands - President - Minister of Defence - Map Maker extraordinaire I was also the founder of a raider group after I left the WestPac but I really can't remember what it was called. I think we only pulled off a couple of attacks. I think I also held some positions in the Pacific but again my memory is fuzzy.

The 2012 NS World Fair -- NOW OPEN!
Big-G of Neandertron replied to Unibot's topic in News and Media Centre
Would be fun, definitely -
I think it might be nice to start pushing ahead more seriously with this question. And perhaps we could be told who the delegate has included in their government so far?
-
Was it Winnipeg who made the flag? Somehow I remember it being The Shotgun Seat who came up with it. Either way it's a damn nice flag. As far as animals go as we're part of the ocean how about making our animal the Orca?
-
Haha, poop
-
In a feeder the delegate is the be all and end all

The 2012 NS World Fair -- NOW OPEN!
Big-G of Neandertron replied to Unibot's topic in News and Media Centre
And no-one told me about it, I'm not bitter though. Not at all. -
I was acting secretary of state of the ADN for like an hour, I was also feeding Intel to the pacific at the time
-
Once I get back home I'll try and work out a list of positions what I have had
-
Ahhh the ADN, I hated that place
-
Pfft feeder tyrants, think they're so great
-
Yeah totally if people are deleting forums or stealing RL personal information its a job for the police not us.

I'm not a techy guy so what exactly is phishing? Is it pretending to be another real person? I kind of meant when you pretend to be a newbie go to a region, get elected to be their intel minister so you get access to all their password protected forum and what not and then feed all their intel to your home region, I was just worried the wording might preclude that sort of activity. Not that I have ever done anything like that of course.
-
Always agree with the idea that nothing should be done to damage offsite forum, I've seen a few regions get majorly screwed up because of jerks messing with offsites. Having said that perhaps the "phishing" part could be interpreted a bit too broadly. I think pretending to be people to get access to passworded sections of forums is a totally normal part of intelligence work. Obviously I don't mean pretending to be a moderator and asking someone for their account password or that crap but I feel some people could use the phrasing there to claim perfectly reasonable intelligence gathering was not in the spirit of the treaty.
