Resident nation: Indiguria Discord name: indigovoltage Map nation name: Indigursk Confederacy A couple sentences about your nation: (original content, not NationStates stats) The Indigursk Confederacy is a federal directorial republic composed of 15 states in which the Head of State and Head of Government is the Federal Council (more specifically, the FIFTH Federal Council), composed of 8 members, each one being of a different party, and each one governing a state. Indiguria originates from the Old Indigursk Confederacy established in 1386 as a defensive and commercial alliance through a treaty between 6 sovereign states in central Trodskaya, which occupied most of the land that the Ulderthane Empire previously owned before it's collapse in 1317. During the governing of the Second Federal Council, the council members were accused of being communists by members of the Old Nationalist Party, leading to said members of the party planning a coup d'état against the Council, implementing a dicatorial regime which lasted about 22 years. People living in Indiguria were sometimes hunted, tortured and killed, and went missing all of a sudden. Residents, angry, revolted against the dictatorship. Over time, the government became unpopular and unstable, opening gates for the Indigursk Civil War of 1412. In 1416, the dictatorship was overthrown and the Federal Council was put back in power. Indiguria's economy mostly comes from the exporting of products in general, specially raw material, and the fishing industry, resulting in a good bunch of ports. It's economy also comes from agriculture, mining (iron, uranium and other metals) and woodchipping. With Indiguria having control over the Sunderdepths, they maintain focus on developing advanced warships to assure sea superiority.
