  1. "It Means A LOT To Me" - Ellierton Goalkeeper Meredith Talks About Dos Santos's Mentorship in the Early Stages of His Career

Ellierton's Andrew Meredith revealed how Giovanni Dos Santos's development team played a key role in his ascension into Cambria's next world-class shot-stopper in a recent interview.

    LINA BOISIVON · NOV 11, 1422

Apart from the endless list of silverware he has liberated from fine dining establishments throughout his career, what separates Giovanni Dos Santos from his colleagues is his progressive impact on the advancement of football.

While the concept of playing out from the back was unheard of in Union Football prior to his arrival, the Alcheran’s technical innovation has resulted in teams across the federation and in the lower tiers as well - with technically-secure goalkeepers now becoming a prerequisite in Cambric football.

Ellierton's Andrew Meredith recently shared that he is one of those inspired by Dos Santos's master plan as he described how the national manager played a pivotal role in establishing him as the quintessential modern-day goalkeeper.

“I once played for a manager who admired the (Giovanni) Dos Santos team from Saint-Mattis which showcased the goalkeeper. He tried to do that with us in the U-20's and it helped a lot," Meredith said in his latest interview with Ellierton’s official website.

Apart from playing with nothing short of genius, one of the reasons why Meredith is touted as one of the most capable in his position is due to his mastery of possession, which stems from how Dos Santos overhauled the playbook for goalkeepers.

The same is said of Keller, who is arguably the crown jewel in Dos Santos’s system, with the 34-year-old responsible for igniting every Cambric National Team attack by picking the most opportune pockets for his teammates with his cannon of a left foot.

Giovanni Dos Santos will continue to promote and inspire generations of goalkeepers across the world as his tactics continue to be ahead of the time.

    SAINT-JOSALYN —

Marshal Briand of Dalimbar, on Saturday was celebrated in Zoran in classic Cambric fashion - a “baby Briand” balloon outside Markanus Stadium, in Leo Rugiet, Zoran.

Police cars and motorcycles lined the stadium drive as a protest of the Dalimbari leader's latest shenanigans triggered more discussion over the out-of-touch positions often flouted about.

    SAINT-JOSALYN -

Cambria sent 2,750 security officers to Zoran for the 1422 Rugby World Cup, State Minister Freddy Liedts said on Saturday, adding Saint-Josalyn had also trained Zoranian personnel ahead of the competition as part of a standing security agreement.

Speaking at an event in the western enclave of Tara Erbina, Liedts said 2,500 riot police and other personnel were deployed for the tournament, as well as OTK grenadier unis, bomb-detection dogs and their operators, bomb experts and other staff.

"A total of 2,750 of our personnel are working temporarily in Zoran for a 45 day window leading up to, and including, this Rugby World Cup," Liedts said. "At this event, which over several million fans from across the world are expected to attend, our personnel will ensure security," he said.

Liedts added that Cambria had also trained approximately 800 Zoranian security personnel in more than 30 different areas, without elaborating. He also did not specify what the share of the Cambric deployment in the event's overall security staff.

Cambria and Zoran previously strengthened ties following a terrorist attack during the first Esferiad, with Saint-Josalyn later backing New Zoradia in its dispute with rebellious factions and several countries frequently backing insurgent forces.

Zoran has faced great international scrutiny over the length and severity of its civil dispute, but surprised the world ever since it won the rights to host the third Rugby World Cup.

The tournament is being held from Feb. 9 to Feb. 23.

Rugby Cambria vice-chairman Peggy Schuyler says that hosting the 1423 World Cup would be a remarkable opportunity, after a bid was set-in-motion in Bastian on Friday morning amidst a rally cry of Breng Het.

The bid projects that if the 1423 tournament is awarded to Cambria, there will be over 800,000 international visitors and more than three million people attending. The substantial economic windfall has been projected with a total financial output of $3.75bn forecast for the event, which would feature 20 nations and 48 matches over eight match days and be played at eight venues.

“Hosting Rugby World Cup 1423 is a remarkable opportunity for Cambria, which would drive substantial economic outcomes for our country, while also providing a lasting legacy for rugby in Polaris,” Schuyler said.

“It would also allow us to support the Crown government’s ambitions around major events in what is the beginning of a crimson and gold decade for the nation - we are excited for the potential of every major tournament being on Cambric soil through 1432.”

Rugby Cambria is currently in a dialogue phase with World Rugby and will move into a candidate phase from March, when they will construct their detailed bid proposal. An evaluation phase commences 1423, with the Rugby World Council voting on the hosts just prior to the next tournament.

“Hosting Rugby World Cup Four would be an inspirational moment for the game in this country and a boon for Polaris, presenting a grand opportunity to grow the game,” said Macio Rasband, the Lions’ new general manager, of the Cambric bid.

Kassakira Petrovikan's heels click across the real wood flooring as she grumbles into the phone.

The Trano Vao was what historians call 'The Pinnacle of post-independence Glenpavian architecture', a home for the nation's leader and its politics. Kass had decided not to move in, stating that home and work should be separate. Still, she spent much more of her time here than at home. Not what she wanted, but needs must.

What doesn't help her wish for home time is diplomatic incidents

She does another loop of her office. "How can you accidentally cross maritime borders 7 times?" She says, a little too calmly to actually be calm. One hand was on the phone, and the other rubbing the temples of the headache that has started to form. The answer wasnt exactly to her standards. "Are they aware? They did wh- You are kidding me right? You are actually messing with me? This is a joke. Don't play games with me Guntur." She replies, stopping in her 10th lap.

"I have a flight to Zoran in 12 hours, what do you expect me to do?" She growls "This is going to be expensive Guntur, and it is going to come out of your budget." She waits for the reply to finish before hanging up. Throwing the phone on her desk, she walks out. PR is not going to be happy.

Hours earlier in the Darkesian Sea, near Saint Ludger

"Starboard beam," Meyers said. Coming abeam now, speed constant, straightening out, distance about fourteen hundred, I think." The sonarman wiped sweat from his hands on his trousers.
Hang in there kid, you got this, the captain thought. The entire crew was acting like a professional.
"The turn has stopped on the starboard bow. Contact has settled back down on two-one-zero." Meyers looked up with a grin. "We got 'em again, Skipper."
"Good work, gents." Carroll went back to the attack center. The Chaudière Bay was dead in the water, slowly drifting downward with a slight negative trim.
"Alright, let's get her back on track. Build up slowly to twelve knots." A handful of seconds later a near imperceptible thrum began as the power plant pushed the boat forward.
"Attention, this is the captain," Carroll said into the sound-powered phone. The electrical units were turned off, and watch-standers in the compartments relayed his message. "The Glenpavian boat circled us again without picking us up. Well done." He placed the phone back in its rack.
"Mr. Bolmer, get us back on her tail."
"Aye, Skipper. Right eight degrees rudder, helm."
"Right eight degrees rudder, aye." The helmsman repeated the order while turning his wheel. Fifteen minutes later the Chaudière Bay was back astern of her contact.
"How do you feel about celebrating yesterday's game, Skipper?" Chief Janssen asked.
Carroll chuckled at the suggestion. He had been so focused on this latest Glenpavian field trip he nearly forgot his boy in his first world cup.
"Mr. Bolmer, what is the distance to the contact?"
    "Steady at two thousand yards."
"Increase speed to fifteen knots. Get us in nice and close. COB, ready the speakers."
"Aye, Skipper!" the COB and navigator both responded with devilish grins.
Minutes later the deathly silent attack submarine roared passed her contact with Raven Shabbat's classic hit Crazy Train blaring over the electric speakers in every compartment. There was no doubt the Glenpavian boat was now well aware she had company.
