NAEU Posted June 23, 2014 Share Posted June 23, 2014 NWP Newsletter June The New Warsaw Pact elections had the most turn out ever this year with the following nations being elected: Chancellor: Wonderchicken Vice Chancellor: Zepther Speaker of the House: Raton Haketon Minister of Retention: Sebtopiaris Minister of Retention: Svornost Minister of Foreign Affairs: NAEU The NWP's RP environment is also very vivacious, with a conference on standards, canals being built, and new international organizations popping up everywhere bringing the regional total to six. Also, for those who didn't know yet, Dragomere, (also known as the Dragster) was banjected from the NWP. Nullarni expelled him in the middle of a very intense arbitration. Last time we checked in on him, the Drag was un the middle of "solving his military aggression and godmodding." Unfortunately for him, Little Kim Jung was unable to clean up his act in time and received the boot despite "cleaning up his act" approximately 10,000 times. The NWP can agree his constant flame wars and godmodding will not be missed. The NWP is currently undergoing a campaign to become more active in foreogn affairs after falling back due to inactivity of the foreign affairs staff. However, change has been brought in with the current elections and new ambassadors have been appointed to new posts. Hopefully, the NWP will continue to grow its reach and increase the number of ambassadors. The current ambassadors are listed below: Harkain-->The Allied Republics Bob Moran(Grandpasmurf)-->GRA Raton-Haketon--> The United Empires of Islam If your region is not on the list, never fear as you will receive the same services. We are considering getting a R/D military. What is do you think as an outsider looking in? Can't really give you an opinion that's specific to your region, each has it's own community. I prefer to avoid the R/D dicotomy, and keep gameplay armies independent, so they can engage in any type of mission without being tied down to one 'side'. Generally though, gameplay armies add to a region's ability to appeal to more players. Diversification rather than specialization. The proposed Caristo-Rocarica International Highway is being built between the nations of the Remaining Crusaders and Sebtopiaris, and is expected to be completed in 1-2 RP years. Operation Red Dog RP military exercises are currently taking place in Gingeska, and the Viva City Arcology in Zepther is currently put on hold due to lack of building materials. The ANAFG meeting is still ongoing, and two islands have been chosen to be the international organization's head quarters. Also, a humorous RP expedition is under way to find the missing nation of Dragomere, which was forgotten, erased from all files, and sunk into the sea. Internal Affairs Recently the New Warsavian Minister of Retention Sebtopiaris has announced the opening of the Caffeinated Phoenix. A new chat thread on the NWP offline forums which will hopefully relieve some of the pressure off the RMB which is used in a chat thread manner and is causing distress among members of the NWP who are offline during the sporadical bursts of activity(mostly due to the activity at the time coming from conversation between Australian New Warsavians) and must waste extensive time in order to post and become upto date with what is happening in the NWP, having to sort through pages upon pages of chatter. The Chat thread set to follow the cafe, style manner commonly used in NWP chat threads, with the conversations happening in a mysterious and magical cafe which serves the customers every need. Previous Cafe style chat threads have been opened but eventually fallen to inactivity it is hoped that the Caffeinated Phoenix will be different with a effort to bring chatter from the RMB to the Caffeinated Phoenix. With the recent passing the Tolkien act by the New Warsavian Senate the position of regional Historian has been made official. The current Regional Chancellor Wonderchicken(also known as Wochik or Darshek) has announced that he is accepting submission for the position. The submission will include a example draft of the content said historian would post as well as a expression of interest for the position. Currently Waulfenspire and Harkain have submitted drafts with Bob Moran submitting a expression of interest but pulling out after the requirement of a draft was announced. Editorial Note:Thanks to. Thus includes the neogotiating if the Vandevilt Treaty and possible interregional role play. Currently, there is not much to report on RP as we are going through a regional activity crisis. Things are doing well in the RMB with talks ranging from Raton-Haketons 25km hike to his girlfriends or Sebtopiaris Essay length rant about Europa Universalis. As well as Nullarni the regional Founder of the New Warsaw Pact opening up the RMB to regions with embassies to the NWP, although to the disappointment of the RMB community very few nations inter-regional nations are yet to take advantage off this. No seriously come join us, we won’t bite… I swear. The festivities begin on the RMB, our forum and our Discord server on Friday, October 14th. Join us first thing in the morning for our Friday Karaoke tradition. The official celebration begins at 19:00 (USA EDT) with formal introductions, and will continue throughout Friday into Sunday. There will be games, music, an open chat party, amusing stories about The West Pacific and a panel discussion on the history of TWP.
