Hello, my nation is the People's Republic of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands

Recommended Posts

My nation has just recently been founded in the West Pacific, fittingly enough. It is a communist state on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The state is inspired by the Soviets and Chinese communists. It acts harshly communist in hopes of finding friends, and protection among the People's Republic of China, and the former Soviet, now Russian Federation. The country's greatest national threat is the Republic of India, who seeks to liberate the country, after a failed communist uprising in Calcutta, when the more radical of the Party's members fled to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and took over the region. In hopes of appeasing communist neighbours nearby, our national animal is the Siberian tiger, imported from the former Soviet Union, and our most used currency is the Yuan, among other foreign currencies. (Ruble, Euro, Dollar, etc.) with the major exception, and banishment of the Indian Rupee. Other former members of the Party have been slowly moving to the islands on their own accord, forming the basis of our preliminary government and defensive force. Conscription was attempted among the local peoples, to which it was vehemently rejected, and then abandoned. Taxation is moderate to light for the time being. Our main concern and focus is to maintain and protect our national sovereignty. We hope to establish our own currency, and allow ourselves to adopt more liberal-socialist policies, once the threat of immediate destruction is no longer such a major concern. Our flag is adapted from that of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. One member suggested that we adopt a flag very similar to the Indian flag (same flag, but the blue part is a disfigured hammer and sickle) to which he was promptly shot.

We must express that we are peaceful, non-expansive, and seek only to protect and maintain our current status, but we must also greatly express that we do not want, nor attend to the idea whatsoever, of re-unification, or assimilation back into the Indian Republic.
