Well, that's an interesting way to go. Usually when people talk about RP it immediately becomes Medieval or Fantasy. A Tech / Sci-Fi RP would be different. You could do something like the old Star Trek Deep Space 9 scenario where people work there, people come into the station, and there are entertainers / bartenders / etc to facilitate the intrigue. Slightly unrelated but whatever happened to that poll-based story that was going to be done? It popped into my head because if enough people come up with ideas we could put up a poll to vote on the direction.
